I LARP this on here too much but I'm closer to this than I'd ever imagine just 5 years ago. Like many have already said, these were the people the Dem Party turned to for leadership and ideas. There has been a constant stream of crazy since Trump was elected and I thank him for exposing that if he provided nothing else of value...oh, wait. Jobs and prosperity too??!!! Trying to fix illegal immigration? Destroying ISIS? Working against China on trade? Putting two more conservatives on the SC? Fuck! Xequecal Xequecal , where is the proposal to make Trump dictator for life? Can we rename Jr. Octavius yet or wait until things are finalized? Barron the Great sound good?
I still can't believe I'm getting called insane for providing liberal talking points from the 90s.

They've already paid out almost 10 billion to farmers due to the tariffs.

This is a good article on how stupid these tariffs are.
That's only true if you think there's only 1 variable, consumer cost , And you're a non maxed, And you're incapable of thinking ahead

If you only think about maximizing relative advantage we would have followed Adam Smith's advice, instead we rejected it put tariffs on and bought ourselves industrial power the germans also copied "the American system" under bismark which is why they are also an industrial powerhouse

That article is brilliant to get dumb people to miss the benefits of the strategy. It literally explains the logic of why companies are pursuing reshoring efforts now and moving production back to America or more open markets where they can sell to the workers there, by replacing product-country names with P and Q. Because that's what he's dancing around saying..."Trump's tariffs have made it cheaper to buy things made in America than it is to pay for China+Tariffs and that hurts CONSUMERS!"

That's the whole point dip shit. The hit to consumers isn't nearly enough to offset the benefit of having those jobs back in the U.S., in fact the total hit is mostly eaten by the MASSIVE profits the 1% have been making off the lowered wages to begin with.

Someone else mentioned, the problem is there is a significant lag time from wanting to reshore to actually getting it done. That time is going to be painful. But its needed. But what I truly love about you and the rest of these knuckle heads Mist is how completely impervious you are to experiencing any shame from the hypocrisy of your stance.

"CONSUMERISM IS A DISEASE THAT IS KILLING THE PLANET!!"

"TRUMP IS HURTING CONSUMERISM IN ORDER TO PROVIDE MORE STABLE JOBS, THE MONSTER!!"

lmao don't worry bro. khorum khorum has assured me that after voting Democrat for the next 30-40 years, the NATURAL CONSERVATIVE instincts of these Hispanics will take over and usher in the new Era of GOP dominance.
I was wrong about the transition happening NATURALLY, some other piece needs to fall into place...after all even, religious African-Americans are naturally socially conservative but they can't vote GOP for one good reason.

What we need is a President who time-travelled from the future who can SOMEHOW get the stormfags and the klansmen to SWITCH TO THE LEFT!!! Maybe he could put black youtubers on stage at the Republican Convention or get his kids to marry jews or something....there's gotta be a way to get the neo-nazi cosplaying folks to start marching in support of Bernie Sanders and AOC somehow.

Maybe offer them $1000 a month.

That's actually a pretty brilliant strategy. If you could actually get the white nationalists to march in the street with Bernie or Gillibrand signs, it would force every dindu in the country to vote republican. Kinda like how Dems supporting Omar/Tlaib is finally pushing non retard Jews to vote GOP.

White nationalists support Yang because they want gibs and don't care about whatever else happens. They're willing to support an asian who wants to bankrupt the country and amnesty 30m illegals because they want gibs.

Similarly, blacks support democrats because they want gibs and don't care bout whatever else. Even "conservative blacks" support gibs over all by a 4-to-1 margin: Color doesn\'t matter, ideology does

Thank you Trump.
Thank you and God bless you

Trump is a lifeblood for this community.

The White House will not sign an international call to combat online extremism brokered between French and New Zealand officials and top social media companies, amid U.S. concerns that it clashes with constitutional protections for free speech.

The decision comes as world leaders prepare to announce the so-called “Christchurch call to action” on Wednesday, an effort named after the New Zealand city where a shooter attacked two mosques in an attack inspired by online hate and broadcast on social-media sites. The document calls on governments and tech giants to improve their efforts to study and stop the spread of harmful content.

U.S. officials said they stand “with the international community in condemning terrorist and violent extremist content online,” and support the goals of the Christchurch document. But the White House said in a statement it is “not currently in a position to join the endorsement,” which leaders from countries such as Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom are expected to sign. The decision puts the United States at odds with U.S. tech companies including Facebook and Google, which are expected to support the effort.

A day earlier, White House officials raised concerns that the document might run afoul of the First Amendment.

“We continue to be proactive in our efforts to counter terrorist content online while also continuing to respect freedom of expression and freedom of the press,” the White House said. “Further, we maintain that the best tool to defeat terrorist speech is productive speech, and thus we emphasize the importance of promoting credible, alternative narratives as the primary means by which we can defeat terrorist messaging.”

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and French President Emmanuel Macron organized call to action, to be unveiled later Wednesday in Paris, as a response to Ardern’s plea for greater social media accountability after a shooter in March streamed the Christchurch attack live for millions to see online. Facebook, Google and Twitter struggled to swiftly take down copies of the violent video as fast as it spread on the web, prompting an international backlash from regulators who felt malicious actors had evaded Silicon Valley’s censors too easily.

Entering the summit, Facebook announced two efforts to address regulators’ concerns and stop the spread of harmful content on its services. Now, users who violate Facebook’s “most serious policies” — such as sharing a link to statements from a known terrorist group — would be banned from broadcasting live videos on the platform for set periods of time. Facebook said the policy, if implemented sooner, might have stopped the Christchurch shooter from using the company’s live-streaming feature to stream the attacks on the mosques
