I watched Enemy at the Gates again just a few weeks ago.

Really good serious role by Hoskins in that movie. There's a scene where he has his men lined up and tells them off, walking along the line (they're all bigger than him) and he glares at them and the force of his voice has them shaking in their boots.

Sad loss.

Great actor, did creepy and mean better than anyone.

Love the Flashman books, was pleasantly surprised he had a cameo in Royal Flash back in the day alongside Malcolm McDowell.

He said that playing bad guys was cathartic for him. He'd get paid to act out and it allowed him to be pretty stand up guy in real life

Seriously. I've seen tons of movies he's been in, but you mention his name and the first thing that pops into my mind is Mario.

What does this mean for the Super Mario Bros sequel? I've been waiting to see what happens since that first one ended with that "To Be Continued..."

The video game movie genre is still a long ways behind the comic book movie genre.
