Based on the trailer, I expected a low production value B movie. I was surprised this was a decent cop triad action movie with decent editing. Whoever did the trailer pacing should be fired.

That said, this suffers the same problem as other Asian movies where the characters are not clearly defined early on for the audience. There are moments where you would believe someone is dirty or isn't, and the confusion never really clears up. Could have benefited from flash cards of the characters to know who is with who (I realize that could spoil plot, but the movie would make sense).

5/10 neo-noir action flick, very confusing and bloated. American critics hated it, but mainly due to it's runtime and run-on storytelling. I'd cut about 20 minutes from this for starters, and try to work on cutting 30 mins. Negative reviews for runtime are certainly deserved. The final 20 minutes were a huge miss. It did get shut off. Enjoyed Act 1 and 2.

This was supposed to be released over 7 years ago. It did eventually get a theatrical launch in Singapore last year.
