I was wondering why StarDrive struck me as so familiar. I remembered StarRuler, and noticed it wasn't listed here.
I remember back when this game was still in development. I tried playing it, feature incomplete, and got tired of it quick. Then promptly forgot about it for a few years! But playing StarDrive was giving me this odd deja vu feeling, then I noticed StarRuler in the Steam Indy sale this week. (75% off) and suddenly realized why. I had grabbed it on the old Impulse Digital Distributor (now GameStop Digital), so I started playing it again.
Learning curve is much steeper than StarDrive, but you have a TON of freedom with it. And the automation isn't as wonky. At least, not obviously.
