Is Troy Duffy still bartending while he writes his epic trilogy? I could use a 90s rock cover band for a party I'm hosting. Maybe he's available.

As much as I enjoyed the first one as a teenager, I never bothered to watch part 2. I won't bother with this one either. Thank god they decided to make it, though. Just keep pissing away money on sequels instead of coming up with new ideas.

The first one was fun, the second one started off so bad we almost turned it off and were like wtf this isn’t even close to the first one. I remember after ~15 minutes or so it got pretty good. I don’t remember anything about it other than that as I haven’t watched it since it came out.

Franchise movies need to stop trying to explain everything. Neither the studios nor the merc writers they hire with no relation to the original creators can craft a satisfying backstory. So as soon as they drafted the 2nd movie being about the father's history it was always going to fail. It's as stupid as Prometheus.

You didn't miss much. Like Hateyou Hateyou said, don't really remember anything about the second film other than it was pretty bad and forgettable.

First one was great though for an independent film, something you want with your buddies back in college.

I haven't watched either one in ages. Like, I can't even remember the last time. I may have to give them a watch again just to refresh my memory before talking shit. lol

Boondock Saints 2 was Hollywood making a sequel long past its due date long before it became the go-to method for squeezing the last drop out of a franchise. And yeah it was bad. Like bad enough to tarnish the first one. Not completely, but a little.

i watched a podcast with the boondocks saints creator guy. he was apparently working on both a TV show and movie thing for boondock saints. without telling the two companies he was working with the other.

they got furious and demanded he only be making one and he picked the movie.

not sure what that means but it was kind of funny listening to him talk about it.

Probably means he was breach of contract, conflict of interest, whatever other bullshit they put in the contract.

There's a whole documentary about Troy Duffy and how much of a primadonna cunt he turned out to be.

I think this was it...

Ever wondered what an insufferable faggot the creator is?
