Yes his character does come from that story. You stated that you could not find a closer thread. This has nothing to do with the movie " War of Rohirrim". It does have everything to do with Magic the Gathering and what Hasbro is doing to the license. I know this because it was already discussed back in February when the leak first came out in the Magic the Gathering thread.

Now if Aragorn was in this new movie and if he was being played by that representation of him, then yes, this is the closer thread and is worth discussing.
