So started watching this yesterday and caught up to all 3 episodes released so far. I like Chiwetel Ejiofor in pretty much everything I’ve seen him in, and this is no different. Solid performance on his part and pretty much everyone else too. I’m enjoying it so far, intriguing premise pretty cool special effects when needed. It’s a slow show, very character driven so far, and obviously has a theme about saving the planet, alien and earth since it follows a similar path.

Cool show, looking forward to more.

The fact that it's a sequel to the original is the part that was interesting to me so far.

Shit. Let me know the episode where climate change is the reason our planet is dying, and when ICE comes to deport him because we hate people who are different than us.

I tried watching the original 1975 or 6 movie with David Bowie to prepare for this, goddamn movies in the 70s were weird, and this one had Rip Torn in almost porn scenes. They don't include THAT shit anymore lol.

Only 2 episodes in but it's pretty entertaining, and I was hesitant seeing Kurtzman on the roster.

My only mild complaint is the reverse-diversity casting is a bit out of control. Two episodes in, and the only white people in it either mug him or are psychopaths.

I’m still watching this and enjoying especially the latest episode called “Changes”. I liked the structure of the episode with him sending a message to his wife while trying to explain humanity and their place in the universe and the allegory he comes up with that humanity is like Jazz…improvisation.

It‘s definitely a slow burn show though, lots of talking but it’s well written and the performance are still all around great.

This show is definitely something different, but the most recent episode was a pretty good payoff for what's led up to it, a lot of subtle references to other classic sci-fi.

I finally got around to finishing this. Overall I thought it was pretty good, the overall story was interesting and had good plots twist along the way and a pretty decent and satisfying ending.

The show though pretty was carried by the characters and all around great performance by the entire cast.

I hope it’s over though and there is no season 2 because I think it would just drag and feel unnecessary.

Another good example of a show that would have been better with 6 episodes than 10.

Beginning and ending was pretty good but so much of this was irrelevant timefiller.
