The poll in the PC vs PS4 vs XB1 thread was created months ago and now the consoles are here, so I thought we could do a fresh census.

Handhelds are not included, and I'll let you decide in your heart of heart what a "current gaming PC" is (for me: able to decently play current AAA releases).

I will also let you decide what "soon" means (for me: before february/march 2014).

If you choose 'None of the above', let us know why!

I'll stick with my PC until something just as user friendly comes along where I can jump game to game to web to movie to music to porn to movie to game to web to rerolled. But the real future is....

I own a decent PC that I pretty much only use for MMOs and a PS4. I'll be buying a WiiU at some point, hopefully in late 2014 since X is currently TBA 2014.

I probably won't be buying an Xbone unless Microsoft really gets their shit together with exclusive games, but they have a lot to prove there after their horrible track record in the last generation.

Looking at the early number, I see the PC data will be a bit shitty because someone already chose both 'own one' and 'upgrade soon' which kinda makes sense considering with PC gaming there is a big gap between the power needed by the games and the power available with high end hardware.

I built a pretty beefy PC last year. Pretty much only use it for MMOs.

Got a PS4 on release day. Been playing some indie games and having fun. Mostly still playing ps3 (just picked up fallout new vegas since I skipped over it) until some big titles start coming in next year.

Been thinking about getting a WiiU simply for company.

However, If I was going to buy a console it would be a ps4.
That makes me think a good question for me would be....if someone offered you a free console which would you want?

And I'd probably pick a PS4 and never use it unless Tetsuya Takahashi or Yoshinori Kitase started making decent games again (just not much of a console gamer really)

I'll eventually get an Xboner, but not for a long, long while.
PC/PS4 and eventually a Wii U will do until then!

Do you use your PC to play old or non-demanding games or just don't game?
Mostly old ones. But yeah, if I saw a game that I really wanted to play I'd drop cash on upgrading it and have before. I keep relatively current but am by no means in the early adopter crowd. When a part breaks, I usually seem to wind up upgrading to current-gen midrange just because of how this stuff fits together. That and the way I look at it is what is the point of spending money to replace a broken thing with something worse than what you already had? I don't think I've scrapped a functional system and bought a new one whole since the late 90's and the processor revolution. It hurt me to do it back then.

I said it poorly, really. The option for me is included. It's more meant "Primarily PC gamer, not excited enough about console gaming to really invest in it for the 1-2 games that I'd probably enjoy".
