Bought Bluetooth headphones for my 10yo niece. Those that are two independent earbuds tend to be kind of shit unless you fork real cash, so she gets those that are tied together with a wire. Bonus is that's a bit harder to lose.

14yo nephews are getting flashy Fox dirt bike gloves.

Aside from that I would say look at the tech gadgetry they like and buy them something to take that to the "next level" for them. That's an easy score.
Are they really getting into music? If so and if you and your wife are masochists then obvious choice would be a drum set.

We dont do gifts anymore for adults in my family, only the kids. My moms maybe gets a bottle of wine or some shit, and the wife gets the dick. other than that no gifts., Is a stupid custom.

My wife's family does an "Ugly Xmas ornament white elephant" each year instead of gifts and it's a blast. Our tree at home is almost entirely decorated with the ornaments we've gotten from it over the years.
