Watched through this this week. Thought it was pretty good. Similar to Yellowstone minus the awful Beth character. Worth a watch if you need something to kill time.

My wife and I enjoyed it. A bit retarded at times, but fun for the most part. I'll check out a second season.

Eh, wouldn't say it's terrible but I watched the first two episodes and have no desire to finish it.

It's not particularly interesting and none of the actors are really selling it.

Me and the wife binged this over the past few days, and what the fuck.

Supposedly the retarded sheriff was working with Grady the past 6 months and Cane and Tim and Reggie were handling the runs. In all of that 6 months, they never wanted an unplanned run, they never wanted a daytime run.

The INSTANT they kill the sheriff, Grady suddenly has spies watching the fish house, demanding all sorts of things, showing up in force at the fish house, etc. Where was that energy the prior 6 months? Are we to believe the retarded 60 year old sheriff was handling Grady?

Second, Grady showed up to the party in like a 120' yacht. What the fuck does he need the Buckley's boats for? And lets talk about this "drug smuggling" operation for a second.

They have drugs on land, in NORTH CAROLINA, and they need to put it on a boat to get... where? Why not just drive it in the fucking box trucks you've already got it loaded in, geniuses! Or for the tens of millions of dollars of drugs they're moving, how about, buy or charter your own boat? Those fishing boats cost $300k as exposed in the title transfer, so what value are the Buckleys providing to this operation? None, other than murder apparently.

So Cane is a cheating asshole, Bree is a heroin addict, Harlan is a cheating asshole, and Belle is also a cheating asshole who sleeps with the guy doing her land deal (for what?) and then cancels it for no apparent reason, even though she knows they are behind on the debt. Did she not know Harlan would never agree when she started that whole charade? What was the point? She had a sudden change of heart after taking some strange dick? What the fuck?

Then lets talk about how they sent a recovering addict DEA agent (uhh... ??) solo to work on a heroin ring, that just so happens to be the family of the other addict he met in rehab. I mean does more need to be said?

The completely implausible things and bad writing are just too much on this show. It's a super typical "hey we need a little extra money" turns into wild gunfights and explosions within 3 episodes bullshit. No shows know how to slowly ramp things up, it's 20 person gun battles immediately every time now. It's tiresome.
