Was announced a day or two ago with a CGI trailer and I didn't pay much attention, but there's an actual gameplay trailer now and it looks....actually good?

Devs are unknown Tencent-owned from China, but after how good Wukong was that doesn't really throw up red flags for me anymore.

Combat looks sick, the reality-warping platforming/puzzle bits look sick, character models look sick and aren't a bunch of ugly fatties.

Maybe China is just the future of good videogames?

Hopefully it doesn't run like shit. There's a lot of microstutter or something similar in there.

But I've wanted a magical parkour game forever. Well, maybe not forever, but I've been thinking about it since around when Prototype came out.

And oddly enough the dialogue delivery was the weakest part of that gameplay trailer. Yea it's real voice actors but it feels really...stilted? Like there's no emoting behind the lines, just people reading off a page if that makes sense.

shes a lot better in bg3, shes shadowheart

maybe shes phoning it in for this game or maybe thats the direction she is to take, don't know

The gameplay trailer lost me at 2:00 when it was spawning monsters out of nowhere. If that's something they show in their first fight scene of their first gameplay trailer, it's a mechanic that is ubiquitous in the game.

Meh.

I took that segment to be staged just for the trailer. She clearly outclasses the enemies and showcases 3-4 Knight powers, so it just seems staged for the trailer. Given the little lore snippets, having enemies spawn from those fog/liquid zones on the ground does make sense. No release date, but what we saw does look pretty polished, so my guess is a Fall / Winter release.

I got an alert from Deku Deals and this game popped up on the Xbox market last night for $22.49 for a couple hours. It was obviously a mistake and they corrected it so its blank now, but I wonder if that's anywhere close to the real price or how soon the game will come out.

I just want a fantasy campaign that's as good as Titanfall 2.

Looks pretty good, kind of a mix between Bayonetta and Stellar Blade. Definitely agree about the spawns though, the gameplay video gave me horrible Dragon Age 2 flashbacks.

i always pause and am skeptical when i see the hero knock foes in the air then hit them several times. makes me think the game will be a game of juggling hitpoint sponges.
