Trackmania

Trackmania released today on PC, its on the epic games store and UPlay. Its a remake I believe of Trackmania Nations.

its F2P with a $10, 30, and 60 season pass sorta dealio going on but I played for about an hour the free version and had zero problems. Really fun game, your basic racing with really, really simple visuals but it works really well and is great for/with kids. There are a billion things to do like making maps and various game modes but its basically just going through crazy levels as fast as you can, solo or in multiplayer lobbies.

I only played MP lobbies and had no issues at all, no lag problems. Really had fun, short games and everything felt fast and good




I installed on EGS but it launched uPlay and made me install the game again, dunno whats going on with that but I figure its usual epic/uplay bullshit

I imagine it'll come to consoles sooner or later but I think its PC only right now

it sounds like a lot of bullshit when you first read through it, but my understanding - i could be wrong - is that its more like battle passes, and you keep forever the "Seasons" you buy and all the stuff that comes with it, its just later seasons (passes) will add more stuff you'll have to pay $10 or $20/yr for.

i dunno, im just playing the f2p version and its fine for me, they are adding a featured daily new track every day (from users) so thats kinda neat. i've played 3-4 hours and never ran the same track twice so that was kinda wild
