So my parents have been visiting Aruba for a fairly long time so I decided next april vacation to take a 6 night trip there with the kids, after I compared pricing, it came out about 2-3 grand less than a 6night cruise taking food into account will still save money.

So the question is, besides the beach/snorkeling/etc, what else is there to do/see?

We are staying directly adjacent to Eagle Beach-hotel- Amsterdam Manor - is across the street -one of their restaurants in the evening has all the tables on the beach. (palm Beach is where all the mega hotels are ~1 mile or so north of us.

Only reason we are going there is my parents go there yearly and my stepmom got a rate direct from the hotel that-with airfare and a car- was ~750 less than expedia -same days- without a car.

There’s the natural pool, the natural bridge, the Valero refinery and a nice kite surfing spot near the prison. So really the answer to your question is “fuck all”

Great. So basically sit on the beach and enjoy the weather/view for a week.. totally doable.

4 weeks to go.

There’s also casino gambling for the adults. The beach is great and the ocean is killer. Rent a car for the day and you can cover the whole island. Or do a tour.

You’ll definitely want to do a snorkeling cruise.

don't gamble-well much or often(our hotel does not have a casino), and i got a car for the week. will definately be doing a snorkeling excursion- the 5 of us all have full face masks and fins for snorkeling.
