I think they really could have done a lot more with the AI plot in season 3 and the total dissemination of all its knowledge but it played out in world extremely mildly. I don't think that would be the case in reality. There was promise there but a real lack of execution.

Even then, it felt like a story from a different show than the first two seasons.

I gotta admit, and I might have said it already, but I really liked the remote controlled vehicles as a Shadowrun/Cyberpunk player.

The rest sucked after Season 2.

I didn't know the series went beyond Season 2. I watched the original movie, because I was huge fan of Michael Crichton and he directed it. I liked Season 1, but didn't make it far in Season 2...you all have me curious, but it's sounding like it's good I didn't keep watching?

No comparison. The ham fisted and juvenile ending to GoT was light years ahead of the rotten goyslop that Westworld devolved into. Not even in the same universe as nuclear fallout collapse.

His quote said nothing of viewership. His quote revolved around expectation based on how a show begins.

You are correct, there is no comparison to Game of Thrones when it comes to Highs and lows. Game of Thrones started out brilliantly with a great story and good character development. Season 8 is the GoAT of expectation collapse. It is cited over and over as an example of how to ruin the expectations of it's viewers. When you have even the actors criticizing how their characters ended, it is a very bad sign.

All the viewership goes to show is how wide of an effect the show had. I linked Season 8 for a reason. The ending was the collapse. The reason the viewership was so high had everything to do with expectation and hope. No show has ever had the expectation of Game of Thrones, only to get absolutely ruined by a final season.

s2 was horrible, but you didn't finish it, so you probably never went to e8, kiksuya. it's basically just from an indian akecetas pov and it's the best eps of the season, you could watch it as a stand alone

here's heartshaped box via piano, nudity cuz westworld, low quality cuz nudity, etc

Yeah the main actresses got too big for their britches and negotiated out of having to show their titties. They thought people wanted to see them for their acting abilities lol. You see how that worked out for them.
