Do they still have those awful delves? We played last expansion, and I absolutely hated how much you had to grind them. Solo was ok, but fuck you for inviting a friend, we'll give everything 250% more health for 2 people and make it hit way harder.

They didn’t remove it because of high end players; they just play whatever is best. Blizz removed it because the class design has been avoiding that ability since its creation. It has moved more and more towards the focus being on movement and managing short CDs and buffs. Removing the requirement to self manage resource generation also aligns with their desire to streamline classes with less things for players to track and manage.

Assuming I have no relevant characters or anything on live and wanted to make a brand new character to dick around, do I just blast these timewalk old expansions to level, or is there a more direct way?

Do I need to grab a profession and start mining copper right now or is there some kind of catchup for that later?

Are you gonna be solo? If so then I think spamming quests in-between dungeon queues is probably the fastest.

They changed professions awhile back so that you level them separately for each expansion, so you can pick them up whenever, just make sure to pick up the "midnight" version once you get to the new zones.

Yea it's just me dicking around. I managed to find my way in to the shadowlands uh, time stream i guess? So you just get to blast through this entire expansion then as your leveling area?

I can't seem to get any dungeon finder stuff to work, I think because it's only doing shadowlands dungeons? Is there a way to just queue for any dungeon anywhere?

No. LFD sticks you in whatever level range you are in. So if you are 51-60 it's all SL. 61-70 is DF, 71-80 is WW, 81-90 is Mid.

Hopped on my druid, and just stuck it in starter talents for guardian since it reset everything. Rotation is still exactly the same. Get a good staff/spear/polearm and just go to town on groups of mobs. 4 or 5 buttons per rotation. Since I have wqs unlocked got half a set of 126 gear and did 2 delves to get to 81.

The prey shit took a lot more work than I was wanting to get to the point where it stopped running away and I could kill it.

The most time-efficient way to do Prey quests is to just grab the quest before you go do world quests or rare farming in that specific zone, you build up your hunt progress as you do your quests normally, then you get the prey location and go there to kill it. If you already did the quests, there is a specific prey hunt quest that pops in the zone anyway, but that's not a regular world quest and has no reward except building up your hunt progress.
