One of the allegations has Morhaime in the same room that Furor was groping a woman. His behavior was described as loud and boisterous.

No chance Morhaime wasn't aware. He even had a convo with the groping victim later that evening.

The true meaning of "When It's Ready" (tm). The emperor never had any clothes. There was no dedication to quality or pipeline, just idiots on Call of Duty all day and crawling under desks.

Nobody is hanging them based upon twitter. They're hung because of plenty of examples of shit behavior. It's very easy to get caught up in the moment and do stupid shit. In a social setting, it's awkward at best, and can get you in big trouble at worst if shit goes bad. In a corporate setting, it doesn't fucking matter. He's done.

Stop defending shit behavior on technicalities.

Point is Furor and the toxic males made a damn good game once upon a time. Them playing grab ass probably contributed to it turning to shit but the they/thems in that picture have never and will never make something worth a damn. Ghostcrawlers new MMO is DOA whether he makes it as an apology for his Cosby Suite Crimes or a they/them takes it over if Riot fires his ass

Game industry needs to look at how the music industry works. You need that small band of unbridled creative spirits because you can't write a song worth a damn with 80 people. Problem is, those unbridled spirits tend to play loose with social rules too. So, you keep them outside your actual business. Who cares if they snort coke and fuck groupies when your only tie to them is a contract to distribute some songs.

Imagine actually hiring Jimi Hendrix and having him roam around in your office and being on the hook legally for what he got up to in his drug fueled rampages. You'd be sued out of existence by lunchtime.

People like S Secrets and others in the industry think Game developers should unionize. Now, there might be merit for this within only the video game industry but I think it would be really hard to accomplish this even outside of the resistance of companies against it.

Because the top, or even average, talent developers don't need it. If they ever get fed up working at Blizzard they can get a much higher-paid dev job at a company that makes literally anything other than games and has none of the stress or stupidity. But yes it won't be as cool.

Its the same for most jobs. If youre a good reliable worker it likely isnt very hard for you to find a job. Unions only serve to inflate the cost of labor as much as possible and protect the most worthless/lazy employees.
