I watched this last night and despite the hype I've seen for it I didn't think the movie was all that great. It's pretty overrated. It's a good movie, but definitely not worthy of the hype it's getting.

The time travel "swerve" I felt was pretty lame.

I guess I'm expecting too much from a Japanese anime movie.

I enjoyed it, but my wife (Japanese) was explaining certain things to me. Like early on when the guy woke up as a girl, he would talk using male dialect. Same as when the girl woke up as a guy, she would use female dialect. So my wife right away knew something was up. As an English speaker, I didn't pick that up. Mainly because I didn't know about it. There are a few other pieces of Japanese Lore that come into play that she described as we watched it. But my overall opinion was favorable.
