These packs are just sitting on the shelf of my local card shop. My kid is already deep into the pokeymans, can't be buying new cards

So this is getting mass printed and killing values

One Piece TCG is doing the opposite it seems. Really limited supply. There is a card in the set that just released that goes for over 4k. So it is impossible to find boosters at MSRP.

I mean, that was their announced plan all along. It's too bad they couldn't have done the initial print run as large as it should have been. No one locally is playing because the game wasn't available.

Not what some butt hurt people I warned (they ignored me) say they were led to believe

The first press release for the game talked about how every card will be produced for the life of the game. It's one of the things that attracted me to look into it.

This will be a fantastic study on "game pieces" vs collectibles. Most sane people know how it'll go, but it'll be nice to have something to point to.

I only played a couple dozen games but seemed really fun with just the core set, probably gets better from there. Google Pixelborn to play for free.

Games insanely fun. Got into it at the end of April and have been on a full on addicted binge since finding cards, and buying cards. The dopamine hits for opening packs have been real! The new set released in May, and the next one is in August. I started going to my 2 local game stores around me, and meeting new people, and making new friends. Seriously felt like pre-COVID for the first time since then. Really fucking rad. And the game, IMO, is easy to learn but hard to master. It has a lot of depth, so it's great for little kids who just love the characters, but has some depth to it for more veteran TCG players.

Yeah, so in the last week or two I've started getting into this, and to be honest...it's a lot of fun. The card art is great, the mechanics play well and the community both online and in person is one of the better ones I've seen. Even the try-hard Meta players are pretty chill and helpful to new players and help people tweak their decks.

A lot of players were calling for the banning of a card called Bucky which allows you to force people to discard their hands fairly quickly. They opted to only go with an errata though which has many people upset.

The only thing I can see that limit the game is there's only so much source material to draw off of so you get a lot of characters remade in other ways. For example, you have like 6 different Tinkerbell cards that are all different.

All in all, the games downright fun.

The temp at work has been talking this up for the past week. Figured i might look into it. Played MTG back in unlimited/revised but haven't touched a TCG in over 10 years.

Just got back from Vegas where I participated in the Disney Lorcana Challenge. I suppose these would be equal to MTG's qualifiers sort of? Top 16 get invited to Nationals happening later this year. Still love the game and following the meta and card changes has been awesome. People I met were all amazing.
