Tough break for Contreras. I had seen somewhere that because pitchers are throwing so hard, batters are sitting further back in the box, which is why we're seeing more of these catcher interference issues.

I see the FOH.org, just wanted to talk about what they're talking about. Also, this may be the first time I've seen something other than "He Gets Us" behind home plate this season.

Catchers are just getting too close, he was in the batters box so it's not the hitters fault.

Paul Skenes looks like a future hall of famer, his fastball and his curve are top tier stuff.

Skenes is probably the best pitching "prospect" since Strasburg... But man, he has a funky delivery. It's only a matter of time (as it is for anyone).

So what’s everyone’s biggest surprises so far this season?

I’ve got:

Shota Imanaga arguably being better than Yamamoto

Yankees doing better than expected

Astros doing worse than expected

The insane rate of pitchers going down to injury

Offense being so down, which kinda sucks.

Which may be due to the continued usage of hard breaking balls... Which is probably the major factor in all these arm injuries? Really wonder if starters will have to sacrifice less sliders for more fastballs in the future to have any chance at staying healthy.

The biggest surprise is how bad the AL West is: Astros bullpen has been so insanely horrific, despite signing arguably the best reliever of the last few years. The Rangers injuries and their lack of offense has been stunning. I thought it would be a Top 3 offense this year easy, so much for that.

Made it out to the Dodgers game in SF tonight. Was able to take one of my kids (other 2 didn't want to go), wife and my mom. Good game for the boys in blue.

I am pretty sure it just like what happened to Scherzer. Rosin and sweat.

Blanco is a major sweater and the sweat and rosin dripped down his arm into his glove and the ump overreacted.
Even as a Dodgers fan, I’m willing to bet that you’re right. Prob just some overzealous ump.

as long as it’s rosin, I don’t see the problem with it being too sticky, I thought that’s the point

No kidding, guys a beast this season, definitely no sophomore slump

I’m also at the game in person and snagged this bad boy:
