I hope this delivers as promised. Battle of Axanar should make an awesome movie. Plus it would be cool to show JJ Lens Flare how it is done. Plus Saul Tigh.

I know that Star Trek is supposed to be about peace and exploration and what not, but lets face it, the Dominion War is probably the best thing Star Trek ever put out there. How could war with the Klingons not be awesome?

i dont talk about star trek much anymore in public after a cop friend told me this
Ellen Ladowsky: Pedophilia and Star Trek

The LA Times recently ran a story about the Child Exploitation Section of the Toronto Sex Crimes Unit, which contained a mind-boggling statistic: of the more than 100 offenders the unit has arrested over the last four years, "all but one" has been "a hard-core Trekkie." Blogger Ernest Miller thought this claim was improbable. "I could go to a science fiction convention," he explained "and be less likely to find that 99+ percent of the attendees were hard-core Trekkies." While there may be quibbling about the exact numbers, the Toronto detectives claim that the connection is undeniable.

There was a 4 year war between the Klingons and Federation which culminated with the Battle of Axanar. It was the pivotal battle of the war and the tactics used by Garth of Izar (then fleet commander) have since became required reading at the Starfleet Academy. Garth is/was one of Kirk's heros when he came out of the academy.

But basically you should care because there will be fleet of Federations Starships and Klingon Battle Cruisers hurling photon torpedos back and forth at each other. Plus Saul Tigh.

*note: While the Battle of Axanar is mentioned in canon sources, it is never explicitly stated who Starfleet was fighting. The fact that the war was with the Klingons is derived from a non-canon Star Trek role playing game book.
