The open "class" system works very well in TSW. It is slightly easier to find a group as a tank than as a healer or dps; never takes longer than 10 minutes to group as the class you want, with a relatively small player base.

I feel sorry for the developers who, I am sure, is trying to make a good game. This will be the greatest flop in the history of MMOs.

Try nudging "Effects Detail" down to 3.8. If performance drops as you play, reload the ui using either /reloadui or ctrl+shift+f1. The first three dugeons can be done in 10 minutes each, the others 20 minutes and Facility/Hell Fallen usually over 30 minutes.

What time are you logging on? Population seems healthy enough to me. But finding groups for elites are always harder than normals and nightmares as people go from elites to nightmares quite fast.

For tanking you really just need to hold aggro, apply exposed(hammer, blade or chaos), afflict, and interupt certain abilities. The rest is optional. I use a blade/shotgun build that out-dps most dps.
