Definitely the player interaction. The game was slow paced enough that there was plenty of time to bullshit with people without slowing down the pace of the group/raid. The spawn competition in the raid scene was also quite a rush, provided you were on the winning side. Nothing was sweeter then...

I pretty clearly remember people posting DPS parses of raids pre wow. It was mostly e-peenery back then since nothing was tuned with tight dps requirements back then.

Just picked this up over the weekend. It is way more addicting then I thought it would be at first glance. Getting into orbit, and hell, getting to Mun or Minmus orbit wasn't that hard after poking around on youtube a bit, but fuck me if I can actually land without making a glorious explosion.

Or, they could just do away with leveling completely. So many of these games are designed with the thought of the "real" game not starting until max level. If that is the case, why waste all that dev time on the leveling treadmill content and force me to waste my time getting through that shit...
