BV itself basically removes the clunk of snapshotting by lasting "forever". Meaning it works off the damage on the first cast and as long as you don't let it drop you never have to use the "snapshot" tech again until you change zones. This is still annoying if you do a lot of in person trading...

Well, they certainly weren't going for the "dude is just crazy angle" based on the very beginning of the episode and all the messages. Maybe they were going for the "most idiotic rube goldberg machine secret government training program" angle though. I don't know which is worse.

The "magic" of the social aspect was that insufferable, socially inept shut ins got at least some level of "social" interaction because people were actually, literally, forced to interact with them. Those are really the only people that still pine for the garbage mechanics in MMOs the rest of us...
