How have you been focusing your time? I've been running almost nothing but pinnacle ops but maybe I should just run whatever has bonuses in portal? My only real complaint is, why isn't the portal filled with every activity? Dungeon playlist, etc. A lot of content is just going to sit there...

Have not touched PVP at all yet. Just power grinding, missed out on the easy Encore runs so I am only up to 245 or so. Spent most of Saturday in the contest raid getting reamed.

Brand new player, start on the 8th with all the content free. Decide if you like the game and don't worry about leveling up or your power for the first week since it'll be reset with the new launch. You can still stock pile some gear and run some content though.

TBD how successful it will be, but the new "Portal" UI in a couple of weeks is basically meant to address the "wtf do I do?" question. It's not literally dying, they are "committing" to a 2-expansion release schedule each year. This release will be the start of that cycle.
