I hadn't played since the Shadow Keep (so yeah, a long time) and hopped in over the weekend while everything was free. Had a great time, gunplay still fantastic, great art direction etc. My characters were still there as they were when I left the game but holy shit is it confusing on what to do/where to go. Just about got prismatic unlocked over the weekend on all 3 characters, but not fully finished the story. I did finish Lightfall on Hunter and that was pretty neat, but should have done it on Titan as it's far and away easy mode compared to Hunter.

Will play expansion, as there is nothing on the horizon like this game - pve looter shooter with great gunplay and no extraction/br bullshit.

Yeah, I fucking love the gameplay loop of D2 and really only Borderlands is anywhere at all close to this "genre".

How is the gear reset?

Well the stuff in the collectors edition is alluding that
JFK was killed by Graviton Lance, with a time traveler assassin?
so you are probably right but it might be pretty cool.
