This is maybe worse than Sanctum was even. You could still clear them playing lacerate or whatever, it just kinda sucked and you needed better relics to do it. It may actually just be impossible for a lot of builds in the hives.

No, if anything it gets worse. Once you get to maps spend your first 5-10 chaos on buying a few grafts that have +25% blood found - it's the only way to even stay close to enough blood to use the sacks you'll find.

I was very behind the times on this FYI. I've only ever played base holy relic and had no idea this version existed that casts at range instead of a nova on the relics themselves: So yea probably play holy relic cause it's damage is utterly absurd.

It gets way way better as you progress as mob density just ramps up. Even still I feel like some skills are gonna struggle hard, because it's still clearing a lot of fuckin mobs in a very short time.

The relics also behave weird and lag behind you constantly if you move at all fast. Their AE is not that large. Too many weird abstraction layers causing delays between you doing stuff and the relics activating + being in range to kill stuff. And yea poison compounds it to be even worse.

Holy relic will never be a popular build because it simply sucks ass to play and isn't satisfying. By the raw numbers it's been one of the best builds for many, many leagues, and never hits meta share

Yea its mostly that - just having better nodes to take with your remaining 4 points. I had originally thought maybe the attack speed node would be okay, but if we assume tigers are capped at 10 like wolves then that's only ~40% attack speed which is pretty bad for an ascendancy unless you can...

okay hear me out wolves give us pile of flat phys for paradoxica, and we bypass its dogshit attack speed 4 points in gladiator for lucky block and double dual wield bonuses 20 spectral animals clean up stragglers then we have a ancestor turtle or something for determination + giant bonus auras

This is gonna be a super interesting launch. Game is actually good, even by most objective measures - looks good, controls and plays well, runs well (even at 4k), minimal things broken, etc. Whether people actually want to play an extraction shooter like this is really going to be the question...
