I think martial arts could be a good experience for him and is worth a try. You are basically looking for something that helps him with self control and channeling his energy/anger in a more healthy way. Get him a bag to practice on opposed to your walls and doors.

I live in Taiwan, all movies here show with Chinese subtitles. My wife had a much better understanding than I a lot of times due to reading the dialogue. English subtitles would have been great.
