Lots of bodies in the solar system have water in the form of water ice, as well as others like methane and nitrogen ices.

If you have the sensitivity and can forego a long focal length you generally want a WFOV for survey (search a lot of sky quickly), and when you find a signal then switch to longer focal length NFOV to zoom in and study in detail.

Depends on what you want to look for and how far away it is. Some of the new planet surveyors are WFOV because they want to search large chunks of the sky for planets around stars in our own Galaxy. You don't necessarily need a large mirror for that. You'd want large mirrors for long distance...

FOV is a function of focal length, not primary mirror diameter. Mirror diameter directly affects sensitivity, bigger mirrors gather more light. Coupled with larger focal plane sensors you can get better spatial resolution with a larger mirror, but the FOV will still be set by the focal length...

I'm fully aware of how investing works and Buffetts S&P advice, which is why my own retirement accounts are S&P index fund heavy. This isn't about throwing money away randomly. It is about risk assessment and management. Spending $100 and using a small capital account to see if I can realize...

Making money is fun. Supplementing income and standard retirement accounts through some trading on the side is the goal. If this works it may get a lot more of my time and capital.

Isn't that all this is anyway? Vapor and buzz words cloaking the reality that you're just gambling? I was looking for something a little more fun than buying single stocks and holding them until they profit. This seems to be a strategy you can use in any market. Guess I'll find out.

The subscription is for access to his signals. He is a hedge fund trader and says he trades in his fund using the technique. So I signed up for a 1-month subscription for $97 so if it is snake oil my loss is negligible. Gives access to the webinar and 1-month access to his signals. It's a...

    Brofist, for science.

Science!! Fucking magnets, how do they work?

New frontiers in astronomy is the big takeaway. They were able to measure the velocities, masses, and mass energy conversion in one observation of the resultant gravity waves. They also believe they can use this technique to observe further back into the past, possibly even before the...

Charge. Both positive and negative exist in nature. Change the sign of one you have to change the sign of the other.

I'm not going to engage him in his fantasy any longer. He made the assertion that gravity fields act at infinite speed. It's on him to prove it by providing mathematical proof, an equation, a paper, anything that can be reviewed. He just keeps avoiding the truth though, and goes further down...

Still waiting for that EFE solution set that shows unequivocal proof that gravity fields interact at infinite speed. Let me know when you find it.

Particles are just point sources, mass is just one attribute of them, others being spin and charge.

Show us. Show us the equation that demonstrates gravity fields travel with infinite velocity. Slowly evolving, ie near steady state, quasi static. Too slow to see relativistic effects, like the finite velocity of propagation. As I said before, Newtonian gravity is a simplification of...
