    The Odyssey (2026)

Sinon appears in the fanfic, Aeneid.

    The Odyssey (2026)

Of course not, but Sinon is not presented as a "warrior" in the movie. A soldier? Sure...but some soldiers will never make it closer to the front lines than the latrines at HQ, yet they still gear up if they're combat-zone adjacent. And if you had to select one of your crew to die without a...

    The Odyssey (2026)

I'm not defending the casting or the costume design, I'm literally responding to your claim that had Page been cast as Ephialtes, you'd "support it 100%", and that's effectively what the character is: seemingly pathetic and worthless as a warrior, but useful as a tool of deception. Why send her...

    The Odyssey (2026)

Page is much closer to an Ephialtes than a warrior in the movie. Sinon is deceived into following Odysseus to war by Antinous, but there is no indication that he did any fighting. He's intentionally framed as small and frail, every other solider looks colossal next to him. Odysseus himself...

    The Odyssey (2026)

Anthony bypassed the food entirely and went straight for the dog shit.

    The Odyssey (2026)

Some of these "thoughts" are retarded. Time skipping is a core feature of The Odyssey, and its handling was one of the movie's strengths. "Teenage" Sinon masculine? He's a kid that stands around for a few seconds while other people talk. Clytemnestra isn't in the movie for 3 minutes, and...

    The Odyssey (2026)

I just broke my streak of avoiding movie theaters since prior to Covid. Maybe I'll go for another six years starting now. This was...largely good with some questionable choices, most not related to the casting. The mythical island encounters were generally well done and fun to see on screen...

    Anno 117: Pax Romana

Got a few hours in over the weekend. Coming straight from EU5, this seemed really simplistic at first (granted, so would brain surgery). Thankfully, the early game is deceptive and there's a good amount of complexity that layers in as you progress. This is going to be the type of game where I'll...

    Anno 117: Pax Romana

It's wildly GPU intensive. Even with not much going on...GPU load: 99%, CPU: 3%. I imagine this will improve with patches/drivers. Edit: No idea why but this is running far more smoothly using borderless windowed fullscreen instead of fullscreen. GPU meter still pegged, tho.

    Anno 117: Pax Romana

I'm playing at 4K and cranked everything to max and the game looks razor sharp to me, nothing at all weird graphically. My FPS is kinda shit though and I'm on a 5090. Either there is some optimization left to be done or I have to figure out what setting(s) are killing me.

    Anno 117: Pax Romana

Why does this have to release within a few days of EU5? I still remember spending hours working to get the large bath houses and other high end buildings to become available in the original Caesar game (holy shit, did that really come out 33 years ago?). SimCity + ancient Rome = crack.

    Europa Universalis V

Alright, I spun up another new game last night (still Naples) and am doing vastly better now. Despite the suggestions to fully automate trade, I found that ducking in and out to make certain import/export tweaks helped. I also have a much better understanding of building and pop interactions...

    Europa Universalis V

I tried this for a few hours over the weekend. As a total n00b to the series I think my biggest point of confusion is that I have no reference point or other clear indication as to whether I'm actually doing well or not. I've been playing as Naples and after restarting a handful of times I...

    Europa Universalis V

I've been itching for a grand strategy game lately. I've never tried EU, saw this had very good reviews and grabbed it for $50 off of cdkeys. Then I clicked on some random review..."I'm an EU veteran. I didn't feel like I knew what I was doing with EU5 until about the 100 hour mark. After 1000...
