Dragon only has kor'kron elite which trades evenly. Control has shield slam, but they'll likely need shield block + shield slam. Pirate with a 4 power weapon would be good, but I see very few pirate warriors. Most common answer, since its in every warrior's deck is fiery war axe hit + ghoul leaving you with just a 1/1. Which brings up another tip, don't just throw away your sergeants and dids for more face damage, save them for trades. If you have one of those in hand you can still clear his board and develop your own again.

I like that the historian is a new dragon card that probably won't go into the most common dragon classes warrior/priest, but might strengthen other classes.

I don't think Historian is going to open up too many other dragon decks.
It'll strengthen current dragon decks a bit more.

I doubt it'll see play in Dragon warrior, but I guess it's possible. There's quite a few dragons that Warrior would love to have: Azure/Crusher/Twilight..
Even grabbing a Scaled Nightmare or Deathwing for some matchups.

Dragon Priest might see a resurgence, but Priest needs a few more tools to be viable again.
With Historian and Museum Curator, that's a couple 2-drops that give Priest some decent flexibility.
Probably wouldn't see both in the same deck, though. Maybe there's some hidden Discover Priest deck where you load up on 1-3 drops and just Discover all your late game. Elise also of course!

As we all know already, Discover is great due to the flexibility. Your're not locked into having a 9-drop Ysera or whatever, maybe Dragon Paladin actually becomes a thing with this card. Problem with Paladin is they have the Consorts but then makes you want to load up on some higher cost Dragons to take advantage of the cost reductions, this card means you can Discover cheaper or more expensive Dragons depending on match-up. You could probably avoid taking any 6+ mana cost Dragons now.

Imp Gang Boss is one of the most powerful cards in the deck though and it gives warriors more fits than any other class. It is extremely difficult for them to clear the board with an imp gang boss on board and zoo its mandatory to have minions on the board to trade up with. It can force executes saving a councilman or doomguard later in the game.
I don't have an issue trading up or keeping their board clear. I run out of cards before they die because they keep getting 2 for 1s or better every other turn. Imp Gang Boss would help, but I still don't think it would make it a favorable matchup by any means.

They either have alex's champ, fiery war axe, etc.. to hit it and finish with ghoul, leaving just a 1/1 behind against a 3/2 or more. Any deck that runs 6+ 1-3 damage board clears is gonna wreck aggro most of the time. My current version is slightly more susceptible to whirlwind effects specifically (1 dmg AOEs) because I have a few too many 1 toughness minions. So, I think I'm just gonna play a more midrangey version right now with all the warriors around. I saw a dragon zoo list that looks cool. Seemed really good against most warrior builds and it's cheap to put together.

Historian is nice, but so is Curator in a similar way. The thing that would make both of them really pop for priest is having fucking Velen's back again. Oh well.

Given the higher odds for class cards on discover and that by now there is a slew of cheap dragons, I would not rely on a 2-of discover card to provide my late game. On the other hand, with 2 consorts in the deck and a decent chance of discovering one if needed you can probably count on playing your first 9-cost dragon on turn 7.

Doubt it. Zoo is already pretty consistent without relying on a bunch of rng bs.

Pretty much, they can try and push discard all they want but the only way it will ever take off is if they let the player choose what to discard or make some cards that are WTF are you high? OP cards.

2 new cards. Both definitely interesting, hard to judge. Warrior weapon could be good against Zoo, but that's a lot of potential damage you take to the face at once. I feel like there are a lot of good 6 drops to get from the Druid spell, but rng meh.

Edit: Taking a look at 6 drops the only bad one is the Corrupted Seer 2/3 Murloc, other than that you might get a 4/5 or 5/4, but a lot of 4/6 5/5 6/6 stuf on top of things like Sunwalker, Sylvanas, Cairne, Dark Arakkoa etc. I wonder if you get Illidan if you'll get a 2/1, I feel like you probably do. 2 Charge minions, 4 taunts (+ Hogger)

Firelands a common but Moonglade a rare. Arena balance, how does it work?

Moonglade is seriously way better though so it should be a higher rarity. Spending six to get a six, which as slip said will nearly always be pretty good if not nusto, and getting some heal out of it on turn six or later when its nearly always going to be useful. Of course that's just in a vacuum, in practice it depends on building a druid deck and the meta you're playing in, but ostensibly a strong card vs. one that can be very meh for the cost.

Rarity in the arena is a problem that should be addressed across the board. Mage common spells alone have been unbalanced for arena forever.

I thought I read that everything has 2 years in standard then its rotated out. So if LOE released in Nov 2015 will it rotate out Nov 2017? Or are they going by the game years? This year is Year of the Kraken next year is the start of year of whatever therefor equaling 2 years?

Fool's Bane is insane. Fatigue Warrior is going to be so insanely strong when you include this and Malchezaar. This card actually makes me think Upgrade might see play in Fatigue deck simply for the extra turn(s) of infinite attacks and you can get your weapon to 4 & 5 attack.

I actually think this weapon is better than Gorehowl, except in the situation where you need to kill a big creature and are swinging 2-3x as opposed to 1x. But for a Fatigue warrior that can get 40+ armor, even taking 20 damage from a late game minion might not be a big deal.


Druid card seems like a great addition to Yogg Druid. Healing that's desperately needed AND summons a 6-cost AND is a spell for Yogg AND can ramp into it if needed. Tons of great 6 drops, very few bad ones. Cairne, Sylvanas, Emperor, Skeleton Knight, Sunwalker, Auctioneer.
