There are actual keys inside the fobs that you can use, and they have buttons like the standard is today. The locks however I still think are electronically controlled even if you use the key to lock/unlock - but that's standard throughout the industry and just one of those things.

Now the push button to start, that's a different tale all together.

The keyless access part is probably a passive RFID system so less concern on the FOB side for that failing. FOBs with sealed enclosings and soldered in batteries are evil though :( I had a ~13 year old FOB die and it stopped holding a charge. I ended up having to use a razor blade to open it and then using a soldering iron to replace a battery . I didn't want to pay ~150 for a new key just because the battery died =/

From personal experience I can tell you that my wife has been really happy with the Fore Escape we got for her around 3 years ago. Of course I am blessed with a woman who has a low bar for being pleased... (which explains a lot of how I managed to get married.)

While I haven't sold the Z yet(it's for sale), I picked up a lease on the 2017 Infinit QX50 a couple days ago. I was going to do the pickup truck and keep the Z, but I figure I may as well sell the Z while it's still worth a decent amount. This'll work for now. It's definitely nice to have some room again.

They are nice - they have a new one that's smaller-ish.. Someone at work has one.. But like that one it's more of a car-uv. You could get the FX or whatever its called now QX70? It's RWD and really nice.. But expensive and not that super awesome MPG- but fast and aggressive. Then there is always the Murano for something even bigger yet just as nice inside as the infinti's interior. But any are nice.. I wish I could fit in a Z hehe

I already have the QX50(the mid size SUV). I took it two days ago. It's basically the same engine as the Z and RWD. Obviously heavier, but it moves pretty nicely for an SUV.

They moved all the infinti's to the new 3.7 right? I do wish they would move the nissan to the new one but many are still the 3.5.

Yeah, Infiniti also just got the new 400hp twin turbo engine on a couple models as well(Q60 Red Sport). I almost got the sedan with the TT. They had comparable prices, but the SUV is just a better fit for the short term right now.

I suspect that TT motor will show up in a future Z.

Thinking about grabbing the new Jaguar F Pace. Anyone own one? There aren't a lot SUV's I like out there. :-(

I really like the X5 M, Porsche and Range Rover variants, I'm also sad to say that one of the new Ford models looks badass. I especially love the Range Rover Evoque or whatever, that thing looks badass and I'm not a SUV lover at all.

Also, dropped the tank without a hitch and it was in better condition than I had hoped for 280k miles. Very little surface rust, sent them to my friend's house to get them sand blasted and coated.

I love the Evoque, but not a fan of the other Range Rovers. F Pace looks nice.

As much as I love Nissan/Infiniti I am thinking a Volvo XC90 is going to be the next main fam hauler once we move away from the ManVan Quest... just so I don't have to buy a new car for 300k miles :p

So I have an ancient 1999 Ford Ranger. Today while driving the whole dash went dead, except the battery light flickering. Headed to my garage guys. Made it there, died in the parking lot. Pushed it in, bad alternator killed my battery, needed both.

Maybe it's time I get a new truck.

Oh, I know. I only have 80K miles on the ranger, and its resale is something like 5,500$. Ridiculous for a 17 year old vehicle. Then I look at a new F150 and realise the price is too damn high. Holy crap.
