Well people aren't psychic so reading other peoples thoughts and divining intention is mostly a biased game in your head if you have no objective evidence.

That is a lucid argument with which I agree 100%. Quite frankly I have zero interest one way or the other I just found the initial argument flawed.

Went to draft doctor before called to draft (this is basically joining up if you get cleared)

Doc failed him and sent him on his way

Had a draft number beyond the scope that was ever called

The Left "Draft dodger!!!"

K, seems legit

Edit- ahh it's fsr need pic!

His hardon for all things military *could* be overcompensation for feeling like he cheated his way out of service. But it seems more likely he actually wanted to go; to go be a mainly man in manly combat; and all the other overly patriotic Koolaid boys got (and still get) fed. I mean, he was a rich white boy; a lot of the other reasons soldiers join up don't apply.

(note: this is absolutely not to bash veterans or those currently in service. You've done or are doing a job no sane person would want to do, and have such a huge chance to come out of the experience physically, mentally, or emotionally scarred. And that's not even considering the morality of the larger conflict.)

Trump likes Conspiracy story time with Alex Jones, so here is one:

The Trump family, knowing he was in the draft, and not wanting to take any chances, hunted for a draft doctor that they could bribe and sent Donald along with a fat envelope to make sure his chances of getting sent were 0%. The idea being, if they waited until his number was called, who knows how corrupt that doctor would be.

As an aside, I like the argument of, his number was too high, so he would have never been called. As if everyone with high draft numbers was looking at the war in 1969 (a war that had its first US casualty in 1956 and 36,152 KIA by 69) saying no need to worry, the draft will end in 1973 before we ever have a chance to get killed in some "shithole" country.

Is it a left problem? Clinton was called a draft dodger a lot. His number also never came up.
