XC2 is the worst one about the over the top anime style. All the rest are fairly tame.

I"d get Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition. It's a remaster of the first game which was originally a Wii title. Starting with the first game sets up the rest of the franchise and gets you introduced to the combat which gets iterated on in the later titles.

Doing system transfer now and so far happy with the build quality. Screen obviously isn't as contrast/black levels as my OLED Deck/Switch but it's still very good for an IPS LCD. Just letting this download everything then going to throw in some games.

Love this sword on my str build. It's got the Godslayer Greatsword fast light attacks and the Zweihander heavy poke. I set it to fire and put the new flame skewer ash on it. With the helm you get off one of the fire knight minibosses that buffs Messmer ashes it's doing really good damage.

So finally beat the final boss with the greatshield/thrust sword setup, had to add bleed to further cheese but it got done. Apparently this is the setup most people are using to get through this and I see why now heh. I think I agree with the herd that most of the bosses are just very slightly...

The final boss is legit insane and I don't know what to do. Full tank build with fingerprint shield/sword lance weapon from DLC. 19 on the global buff and it's still not enough. May have to just bite the bullet on this and summon someone, this is by far the most insane FROM boss. Never had...

Yeah looking it up Taker's Flame scales purely with Faith so if that stat is low that might be why.

Did you stack faith on your BB build? I think Taker's Flame scales better with Faith. Also Wave of Destruction is mostly physical so you can't stack flask physick/fire damage talisman/flame grant me strength like BB could. Either way Ruins GS is really good, I used it on a playthrough.

Well BB did also knockdown human enemies. But yeah Ruins GS will have the knockdown advantage now.
