Biggest complaint I hear about SO5 right now is that it's short(20ish hours) and pretty small in scope for a game called "star ocean"

Doubt we will get the PS3 version of P5. Japan really only does PS3 ports as the install base there is still pretty high compared to PS4.

Nearing the end of my pyro playthrough, great chaos fire orb fucking wrecks. I dunno if Gundyr is randomly weak to fire but like 7 casts of it killed him heh.

Played a bit and yeah, this is very brutal. Normal trash can kill you in 2 hits, and it's a bit more actiony in that you have to learn to combo shit together between stances, I think? Stamina management is also a big deal, if you gas out your character is basically staggered and can't move...

Started a new Pyro recently and I just used that Astora Straight Sword you can find in the very first zone; if you infuse it with raw it has pretty high base damage. I have it at +3 with my pyro glove at +4 now, fire orb'd the shit out of abyss walkers.

Took a few days off after beating it and kinda feeling starting up a new pyromancer.

Well BN screwed up the release of DS3 pretty hard.

Ok so how do I actually annoy this dragon enough to get it to fly away? Dropped 99 crossbow bolts into it and won't move.

I just use the Dark Sword/Butcher Knife as a str build if i need something fast. The Farron gsword looked more flashy then anything; don't think that spin move is going work too well on bosses but I could be wrong.

Yeah, nothing about this game strikes me as "twitchy" nor am I "mashing" my attacks at all. Sure monsters are more aggressive or whatever, just have to roll a bit more I guess? I don't get where people act like BB was some combo fighter ala Devil May Cry either.

Yeah, I was worried but my order today has gone from "Not yet shipped" to "Shipping Soon" to "Shipping Today" with "arriving tommorrow" still listed.

My guess is it will just be some comic/anime announcement. The followup tweet said it had nothing to do with the game.
