Going to need time to unwind this one. On one hand, I feel like the revelation and ending were really intense...but it also left quite a bit unanswered. Curious to see what others thought.

    NFL 2019 Season: It's Tricky!

    Oh man, the Cowboys.

    NFL 2019 Season: It's Tricky!

Never been happier about a Redskins loss. With Miami winning, too, as long as Dallas beats us next week lock for #2 pick. Chase Young or find someone who wants to trade up and get a bunch of picks.

...and then there goes Haskins' knee maybe. Only the Redskins.

    NFL 2019 Season: It's Tricky!

Woke up late to see Haskins was tearing it up, but thankfully the D knows the plan. Today is the day we need to lose, especially with Miami winning. Chase Young or the haul of picks we can get trading down here we come!

    Final Fantasy VII Remake

Curious to see how long it'll take them to release an eventual XVI. Rumors are they want Yoshida from XIV to be in charge of it, but I don't know how that would work with him so hardcore into XIV still (but maybe he has an endpoint planned out for XIV, though seems clear he has a plan up...

    NFL 2019 Season: It's Tricky!

He's averaged over 250 yards a game for his entire career (and it's actually gone up every single season of his career), which is above 4,000 yards a season (which he's hit every time he's played 16 games, obviously). His Total QBR has never been lower than 54.0, which would be good for around...

    NFL 2019 Season: It's Tricky!

I just don't know if he ever overcomes the turnover issue. Any team that bets on him for the insane numbers he can put up many games is just going to have to live with the fact that every few games he's liable to have a 4+ Int game. I don't see how any team that wants to be a "contender" can...

I would say they should have tried the long FG but that drop on 4th was the dagger.

Incoming 400 yards and 3 TD's. That twitter thing was the most spot on thing ever. Ever play Russian Roulette? Time to spin the chamber, and sign on for one more year.

Ricky from Ballers and Nolan? I'm intrigued.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

I just want to know what the projections are going to be in relation to Last Jedi or even TFA. I see almost no chance it doesn't make at least a billion, but if it somehow came in under Last Jedi that would be great.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

These are the same fucks who called slicers "codebreakers", and literally think every Jedi hero should spend their youths growing up on fringe desert worlds.

    NFL 2019 Season: It's Tricky!

The Chargers skull fucked them because they had played them 2 weeks prior, and essentially put 7 DB's on the field most of the time to help guard Lamar. I will agree getting Ingram to pound the ball was a smart move b/c no team will be able to replicate that strategy when they can hand it off...

    NFL 2019 Season: It's Tricky!

Most of their O line is intact, Snead/Hurst/Andrews/Boyle all carryovers. So is Gus Edwards. I agree Ingram helps, but I think Lamar helps him quite a bit, too(kinda similar to how Alfred Morris actually had 1800 yards rushing his rookie year because of RG3 threat boosting him). There's no...

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

Poe being the leader actually makes sense even from TLJ. The guy spends the first 10-15 minutes of TLJ doing stuff in an X wing that even the best Force user pilots in EU would struggle to pull off. Literally the greatest pilot that ever lived, and all that.
  22. Merrith

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

That's cause most of the TLJ lovers assume the haters hated it for all the wrong reasons, not just because it was a shit Star Wars movie.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

Good lord the more I try to remember Last Jedi's plot the worse and worse it gets. They really spent half the movie with the Speed spaceship chase scene somehow shitting out all these pointless subplots. Although at least it didn't have a horseback charge across the deck of an in flight Star...

    The Expanse

S3 is good shit. More consequences and politics with setup, then 2nd half is when shit goes down.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

See the Laura Dern moment didn't seem to actually accomplish much (at least the effect on the plot, visually that scene actually looked cool), because she looked dumb for not telling everyone her grand plan, and since all it did was to allow the Resistance to strand themselves down on the planet...

    The Expanse

Only if TWD had biospheres that were taken over/reprogrammed by a "weapon" from an alien intelligence that predated humanity by over 2 billion years. If you're just worried about a lot of space zombies long term, it's not like that.
  27. Merrith

    The Expanse

Never watched TWD. How would it become TWD in space?
  28. Merrith

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

See...that's why I hate all the SJW/anti SJW stuff about Last Jedi. It gives defenders an excuse to go back and forth about that rather than discuss why it was simply a bad movie. I could give two shits about who they casted for Rose and the general that hyperspaced her ship into the other, or...

    NFL 2019 Season: It's Tricky!

And frankly you could argue that Carson was a semi snubbed, being 2nd in rushing yards in the NFC among RB's.

    NFL 2019 Season: It's Tricky!

As I was pointing out with the Scherff nomination earlier...Pro Bowl noms a lot of the time aren't the best measure of who are really the best year to year at the position. That Ravens team was 4-5 last year with Flacco, went 6-1 with Jackson. They lost a good number of their main contributors...

    NFL 2019 Season: It's Tricky!

Wilson is the only other guy in the discussion, that's for sure, but Jackson's case is pretty hard to argue against at this point. Also beat Wilson head to head up in Seattle.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

There is some really shitty stuff in the EU. There's also a good bit of decent to good stuff. I do think Zahn's Thrawn trilogy pretty much is head and shoulders above everything else by a good bit, though.
  33. Merrith

    The Expanse

Yeah being able to binge this season was great...and shitty. Guess I'll plow through Book 4 and as many as I can get through before season 5 is released.

    Final Fantasy VII Remake

Found racing and blitzball to be far more engaging. They're all super repetitive, but hot and cold was the worst of it confined to the smallest area. Watching my "beak level" increase didn't really move the needle, either.
  35. Merrith

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

Yeah, relax a little. "Luke's movie" in that he was simply the most featured of the 3 main original trilogy actors (Han/Luke/Leia). You barely see him at end of TFA, and not much more of Leia until near the end while Han gets most screentime and his send off with character dying. Last Jedi...

    NFL 2019 Season: It's Tricky!

Pro Bowl isn't a real thing anymore anyways. Scherff got in for Redskins and he's had a decidedly mediocre season. Just going to let him get overpaid somewhere else.
  37. Merrith

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

That's more like 13-15. 7-9 EU was the Zahn Thrawn trilogy, and frankly I assume most older Star Wars fans will continue to consider those the best 7-9 they could have done.
  38. Merrith

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

Not having same director/vision for all 3 movies was the issue from the start. I also don't get all the hate TFA gets, not saying it was great by any stretch but I'll echo others that it did a good job introducing the new characters and having a good amount of threads to pull on and tease out...

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

How was the plan to strand themselves on the planet they were "running" to (because I guess they thought all the shuttles people would take down there had stealth tech and wouldn't be seen?) a better idea than moving a bunch of the little shuttle/transports between ships to confuse First Order...
