    Just about to finish the first book of ShadeSlinger. Really liking it so far. Definitely going to immediately go into book 2. I like that the main character doesn't immediately become overpowered and doesn't do everything right. Also, the author is absolutely a WoW player.

    None of what you mentioned purposely hunt humans. Shark 'attacks' very rarely end with a complete devour. It's the investigative bite that is usually deadly. Squids don't activately hunt humans either. In fact, they largely leave humans alone. Cougars are territorial but don't actively hunt...
