Jointer is gonna be the next thing I'm gonna have to work out, because while some of these are gonna be live edge pieces, I am gonna wanna square up some of it. But yeah, you guys are right. Could do that....that just worries me that I'd go too deep. At least this way I'm not gonna fuck up...

I don't know how i'd maintain a consistent surface on that. The pro of the router sled is keeping a consistent depth.

Huh, that's crazy. Biggest endmill bit I can find is 1 inch, but if it's really that big of a difference even with a small bit, maybe it's worth it. They're fucking spendy though. I had to take it in layers because eventually I was removing too much material for the bit to handle without...

That piece was 1.5" on one end, 2.5" on the other end. It's a lot more than a belt sander can take off. The electric planar I had considered, but my pieces are 2-3' wide. Way more than a normal shop planar is capable of handling.

I thought chainsawing this shit was grueling. This is exhausting. I've got a 2 inch surfacing bit on a top of the line Bosch router, but you can only cut 1/4" deep and maybe take 3/4" passes before the bit bogs down in this stuff, so it's an absolute slog doing a slab when you've gotta remove...

Now, I know I have pieces that are 2.5" thick on one end and 1.5 thick on the other, thanks to the inaccuracies of a chainsaw mill, but goddamn is is it disheartening turning this much material into sawdust. I might cut some slabs in half so I can get 2 nightstand table tops out of each, just...

    YouTube's War on Ad Blockers

Can't believe you guys are still having issues. Brave on my computer and on my phone. I'm watching chess videos all day long and I still haven't seen a single ad since this rollout started, nor any difference in behavior. Get a non shit browser.

    Post Your Pet

Got this in the mail the other day. Considering the specifics included in such things, it's a nice gesture that this is hand written, and was actually written by someone who took 5 minutes to do it, instead of just being a form letter thing. Can't recommend this company enough. I guess there's...
