Got a random lvl 12 green 2h staff that had +12 to healing and +4 to magic damage. Wouldn't be too hard to get +50 healing and +25 dmg by lvl 20, which is more than most casters had at lvl 50 back in the day.

Which is also a bad idea. It dramatically dilutes community, makes it way harder to level, and negatively impacts the economy.

I've been doing alchemy in the beta and I know I don't remember all of Classic, but man does the alchemy profession look completely gutted. There are 5 or 6 things I can make up through level 20 and I was able to start making them at level 6. Did they deliberately take it all out, or was it...

30,000 + people paid for the beta and a lot more than that are likely going to be there for launch. Blizzard isn't losing out on this as long as they keep the improvements coming.

No, not specifically that. But, things like flex raids. Example is them releasing Onyxia as a 40-man. Fuck that shit. Make it 20-40 and everyone will be happy.
