Correct. The low level revamps are all named, no PHs. The higher level revamps are mostly named but sometimes a PH. Only named all the time isn’t really a great idea, honestly.

How does it work if I get a class unlock token and want to play something not allowed by default? For instance a Barb SK or a Troll Ranger. Is it possible or will I still be locked to race/class combos?

You'll probably want a priest class in there. If Enchanter already, add Druid for great mobility, damage shield, strong DoT, and pretty good heals.

Nope. Same as always, except for the new Iksar camp in North Ro. That place does have all class spells merchants. Get a toon up to 25 in Sneak (just swap a rogue, monk, bard, etc for two minutes).

It can be mitigated by any race, but it’s a large initial investment in AA. After your first trio to 50 the points cost won’t matter, but it’s hefty early. I just have zero interest in playing ogre, so AAs it is.

Not sure diety will ever matter here. I pre-purchase spells 10 levels at a time. Makes it easier to keep adventuring and progressing, then pop into town about every 10 levels for downtime and spells again.

I’d wager item upgrades are more impactful and powerful and therefore need to be slower to upgrade. I’m ok with that.
