He was talking with Doug Cronkhite (Elidroth) about how it can be difficult sometimes to get honest feedback from players when they know they are talking to a dev, then added "but not on the FoH boards" and they both laughed haha.

Been listening to more interviews, I'll try to pick out a few nuggets from time to time. Apparently most devs on EQ thought Dave Georgeson was a complete tool (big surprise). One time he asked the EQ1 dev team "what do you guys do for cutscenes?". And another time in a meeting called them all...

I don't think having an established IP means very much. Look at the all the established mmo IP's besides WoW - most failed. Warhammer, Star Wars, Star Trek, Lotr, Conan..I could go on and on. Any game that's good will find its audience, just look at Valheim.

I know this game is getting a lot of traction lately but idk how anyone can sit through this giant cutscene mmo that occasionally has gameplay. I trudged through to level 50 only to realize I needed to do a 100 step quest chain to get to the first xpac.

Yeah there were tons of random dungeons that were still in a beta state. Still irks me that instead of completing them they did the dumb Halls of the Pantheon update which 90% was farming the awful SoD island. Once Silius was no longer the lead dev I think they did City of Brass as the last...

I played it for a few hours tonight. You can turn aggro off and explore all the areas for the most part. I checked out Stiirhad, Pankhor Zhi, Old Targanor, and a few others I never got to see. The Stiirhad dungeon is freaking huge, I had to port out of it after a while cuz I got lost.

Game was garbage. Clearly made with mobile in mind first and pc as an afterthought, that is never going to fly with pc gamers.

Not surprised they might do this ever since they hired Holly Longdale. No world buffs and harder raids sounds great but I think they have to make class/spec changes or people will stack warriors even w/o world buffs...

I tried the f2p version and it does make a huge difference using macros. I think I have 5 abilities mapped to one hotkey, makes it so much less frantic. What class is the most wanted though? Been leveling a berserker cuz ppl said its the top tank class atm.

Why do people click abilities though? Is there just not enough hotkeys or is there some other advantage/loophole?

Sometimes I think about playing this game cuz I like visuals & race choices more than wow, but then I watch someone actually play it. This game has the worst ability bloat I've ever seen. Was watching this guys stream for a few minutes and he was clicking some or all of his abilities... probably...

If you're not listening to stuff in the background while playing wow then you have more patience than I do.
