Make the problem, so you have to solve the problem, so you have a job. That's all this boils down to.

I think he blew up. So it doesn't matter. Maybe he's still in the comics who knows, who cares. What you honestly I don't think makes any sense because isn' Maeve still alive maybe, or I don't know what the hell's going on.

Thanks, this is why the forums are so great!

I completely agree, but I'm not trying to defend the comics whatsoever. I will never end up reading them, Ive basically no desire to because modern day comics aren't near as good as the stuff I remembered growing up with. That might not necessarily be the case in hindsight, but whatever. I...

Look I never read comics but, it at least would have been more interesting than whats the show if you found out later on that he was a clone of homelander. Maybe that's just me, but it's a hell of a lot more interesting than what's currently happening. I'm not trying to defend it whatsoever, I...

Because if he's a clone of homelander it sounds like he wasn't black in the comic books. I'm never going to read the stupid comic books, and just wondered how they differed from stupid Jew guy running the show and trying to shove every progressive and leftist talking point down your throat...

Is it a singular deal or mini series or something? It's kind of one of the reasons I didn't go ahead and pick it up because all these stupid streaming companies and what have you are trying to milk multiple seasons. I remember seeing previous for it and I was like man that's my jam, but just...

There was only the one Freddy and Jason movie, but it was awesome. I actually saw it as well as Jason X in space in the theaters back in college. Pure amazing schlock.

The Saw movies with maybe the first one being somewhat original, I couldn't tell you anything and past maybe the second one and I don't even remember it the first two. Army of darkness though, that movie is wonderful and fun, and you can typically show it to somebody who has no idea about it...

I really enjoyed the first film with them being together, and surprisingly when I was dating my wife it was a movie she wanted to sit down when we were doing a come to the house and cook dinner sort of date. We're going to do movie night and Home cooking, and that's the movie she wanted to...

I remember that banshees movie popping up, and I kind of dipped my toe into the thread and it seemed like everybody really enjoyed it, but I haven't watched it. Got the other dude from In Bruges or whatever the hell it's called, who's a great actor. Damn it, I think I know the next film I'm...

I don't know anything about that film but watching that clip, I think I have an idea of maybe something I might watch the next time I want to sit down and enjoy a movie. I stand by my position that he's a talented actor.

Shit, might have to check them out. Thank you sir. For a lurker to come out of nowhere and talk about this oddball topic, well I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. Just makes sense that they're being genuine about it. Right on...🙂 Unless you're some sort of Robert Jackson...

Dude's got a lot of range. I know people shit all over true detective season 2, but he was probably my favorite character, and despite it being a pretty dismal ending, after watching it twice I still enjoy it. I'm honestly excited about the penguin series though. You can't tell that it's him...

Oh wow, that's actually a pretty good idea and interesting. Too bad it doesn't seem like they explored it at all.

Yeah I think we're the same age, born in 80. Sophomore year of high school would have probably put it about the right time.

Yeah the guys really creative, and he writes pretty decent dialogue and compelling characters, but it almost kind of seems like a Stephen King deal where his original novels were the best and then you just kind of tapers off. I don't know. I just haven't read any of his newest stuff. There is...

Address remember there being just as underlying sense of dread throughout the entire film, and the ending obviously is pretty frightening the first time you see it. Number one most horror movies back then used to end that type of way, I'm sure you know what I mean, don't want to spoil it for...

Sorry I guess the thread fell off my radar. I never read that series, so it could be a roll of the dice. I guess check them out and see if it's worth it, and if it's good I might go ahead and pick them up.

Yeah it's such a shame because he has really good ideas, but it seems like after a company man every protagonist is empowered female. I'm sorry even if it's ridiculously well written it's not my cup of tea. I gave it a shot considering his previous pedigree, but I don't remember a goddamn...

Hah, you're the only person I've ever seen mention Tigerland. I think that's the first movie I ever saw him in and it was a HBO original or something. Pretty sure I watched it back when I was in high school. Good movie. He really has become a phenomenal actor. There's a show out there I...

What happened to Noir in the comics?

Yeah, the first two poltergeists are pretty scary if you're young. I know the clown scene in the first one was the scene my stepmom always said creeped her out even when she was older. Was talking with a neighbor about this topic yesterday, and he brought up the 70s remake of Invasion of the...

Maybe not serious, but at least a hell of a lot more entertaining, but I think we agree with each other.

Hah, same thing, I went to a private Catholic school when I grew up in New Orleans. It's no different than someone, somehow getting a hold of an old Playboy and sharing it with everybody. That's what you did when you were a kid, most people didn't turn out to be a weirdo.

They actually filmed swamp thing on wadmala island up there in Charleston. Guy who taught me most of what I know about construction always talked about it. Adrienne barbeau and her amazing rack it's still legendary. No wonder you watched it all the time as a kid. You're a little bit older...

Yeah, as a kid you would watch the same favorite movie of yours for a couple of months at least. The Last Starfighter, Space Hunter, Mad Max, RoboCop, Predator, any of the classics. I get used to be Saturday night a new movie always came out, and then it would run for at least 4 to 8 weeks...

I think a lot of that lag had to do with movies still having the ability to reshow it in the theaters and such, and HBO was a relatively new thing at the time, so I'm guessing they were rights and different hoops to jump through before it could be aired. I honestly be interested in the...

Alien I believe was 78 or 79. I guess if it popped up on HBO it would be what maybe a year year and a half later, because I think there was quite a bit more lag back then.

I know that's what the red letter media guys keep talking about specifically with the Blumhouse business model. I guess it's also easy to have just a house with three or four actors and come up with some sort of story concept, shoot it over the span of a couple of weeks for a maybe a million...

I want to say I was in third grade when I saw Alien. So how old are you at that time, seven or eight?

The video store we had by my dad's used to be if you got a new release film, you could pick out a free old inventory movie. Latest and greatest video. They had two locations here in Houston and it was family owned. The dad who owned it and all of his family worked there was a super nice guy...

Haha, go back a couple of pages and get to the root of this whole conversation or derail. @Chukzombi and I pretty much talked about all of the movies you're mentioning. With that being said, Alien is still probably the most scary movie experience I ever had as a kid.

Had to go back and rewatch that one. Probably still pretty fun movie. I vaguely remember being in middle school or something spending the night at a buddy's house and there was some sort of nightmare on elm Street Marathon around Halloween, and his parents ordered pizza and him his little...

Haha, you're right, he did blast the wheelchair didn't he, and it was pretty cheesy that Freddy just runs up and stabs him. Sorry it's been a long time since I saw it. There's also that kid who was up horn dog with the nurse or whatever whatever. I don't remember the kids name that was the...

No worries.

Dude the d&d nerd was The wizard master and Freddy's magical wheelchair killed him. It's another guy who got led like a puppet to fall off the building. God damn you, thought you knew your shit my man. For shame... Part two is pretty gay though. Part 3 is a really good movie and that's...

Sorry, talk to text, but you obviously knew what I was referring to.

Yeah that's the seen I mentioned the other day. I remember seeing it for the first time and it just looks so surreal, it's pretty damn creepy as a kid. I still think the first one's the only scary one.
