@Void finished the first book of Savage Awakening. My headcanon about these characters was reinforced after Zane met Evan. Here is a 100% canonical adventure they had in cartoon form:

Nice. I'd still rather have Morrowind tho.

Reminds me of

Ooh, now do selectable perks and dragon yells.

Agreed with this. Oblivion was a more dumbed down Morrowind with quest markers, easier fast travel and less ridiculous combat system. Skyrim didn't really dumb things down further.

Morrowind has fast travel in the form of silt striders that port you around the map, it's totally fine.

This is basically my PC and i was looking forward to this game, so I'm disappointed to hear you're having issues!

Amazon: am i a joke to you?

I'm hoping for a morrowind remake, which would be amazing if they took liberty with the combat system but kept most everything else.

"They" being Bethesda couldn't even remake it in Unreal either, Virtuos is the one doing it.

One of the greatest total conversion mods of any game ever is Nehrim for Oblivion. SureAI.net There are a couple things it does really well: 1. Show how amazing Oblivion with normal XP leveling and no scaling can be. 2. Show how amazing a no fast travel RPG can be when the quest system is...

Back in the day I used a mod that made the hardest mode basically 10x all damage without increasing mob HP. It made it so enemies could one shot you, and if you tried hard, you could 3ish shot them. It was a lot of fun since damage is largely avoidable if you have a lot of speed.

But seriously I'm traveling right now wishing i was using my time off more wisely by doing my fifth playthrough of this garbage. Oblivion is also a really good game to play in hardcore mode and ignore all the quests and just survive.

Forget that, here's the console commands boys, https://gamerant.com/oblivion-remastered-all-console-commands-cheats-how-to-use/ Just crank everything to max to get the deluxe experience. Personally i went one step further and used mspaint to change a screenshot of my savegame to show that i...

Yes.

I don't know what kind of morons would sign up to remake this mess.

Yep. Skyrim's combat was dated long before it came out. I wouldn't mind if they just did their own rendition of Assassin's Creed / Batman / Sekiro for ES6.

I'm really forgiving of the todd howard and Peter molyneux lies of selling this amazing, grandiose game and delivering something more modest. I figure in many cases they design for the moon and then have to cut features when they find out its infeasible. For Oblivion, it was radiant AI quest...

Yeah fuck off with these dumpster edgelord takes. Skyrim and Oblivion were amazing unmodified at release. I loved playing both at release and loved playing them a few years post-release when they were modified to hell and back.

My plan is to level to 100 sneak by cheesing Marshall the friendly rat at the tutorial sewers and then be unable to kill anything in the game because the world levels with you.

Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim are all amazing, genre-defining games and people throwing shade on any of them in this thread are as lost as an Argonian in Solstheim.

ESO still has the most thematically amazing siege scenes in any game I've played. Rushing with a tight crew of cavalry then dropping like 20 trebs to take a city was beautiful. But yeah, I've done multiple playthroughs of Oblivion and cleared ALL the gates multiple times. The most recent time...

After Starfield my hopes for Bethesda are very low, but in a dream world they basically rebuild the Creation Engine ontop of Unreal Engine, and work out a deal with Epic Games to decrease the licensing cost by making the new Creation Engine licensed open source with similar license agreements to...

yeah we'll see how much they change in the Oblivion remaster. I'd say that unless they make significant changes to Morrowind such that it's a remake, it's not worth remastering it.

I wonder how much Todd really worked on this. Given that they probably didn't add much, if any, content, the third party devs ( Virtuos - Wikipedia ) probably required minimal direction. If Oblivion Remastered is successful I have to imagine they'll make a Morrowind Remastered which is pretty...

The biggest evidence for this leak being true is that the pope just died, which breaks the seal on Mehrunes Dagon until a new pope can be decided.

Currently just a leak, but there might be a remastered Oblivion releasing this week. What's interesting is the rumor that they are using Unreal Engine 5 for the rendering.

Enjoying this so far, but this is my headcanon for who Zane is.

I have no idea how anyone could remake this game in Unreal Engine, maybe we'll find out tomorrow?

Only Star Wars movie I'd see is one that decanonizes the last few star wars movies.

I'm the only person I know of that plays with left hand on gamepad, right hand on mouse. All the movement control of a directional joystick, all the camera precision with a mouse. I tried using foot pedals which were kind of fun but not super useful due to the slow reaction time. They're...

I've just started this, thanks for the recommendation.

Oh that's probably why i have that book, lol. After having finished it i feel like it's barbeque sauce that is all sweetness and no spice.
