Casting call sheets for the pilot are out and apparently the characters include: Dick Greyson AKARobinAKANightwing. The pilot episode has him still going by Robin, but is post-breakup with Batman and living in Boston as a private eye. Barbara Gordon AKAOracle. She is not referred to as...

Venture capital wants SOME short term return. Ideal situation for them is to come up with something bright and shiny to demonstrate the money was well spent in the short term and then have the resources to perform something long term. Remember that a LOT of venture capital gets sunk into...

Who plays Pong with a joystick? Paddle controllers son! After the last Fan Faire and seeing decent things there I had really high hopes for EQNext, but that was quite awhile ago now and I'm kinda shocked that we have not seen more from them... Either this new company will represent an...

It helps that Brandon Routh pulls off adorkable quite well.

Well to be fair the nature of social networking has changed dramatically from EQ / vanilla WoW to today. Before you were most likely only ever going to group with people that you met in the game and that tended to be what formed the guilds as they then existed. Now with so many out-of-game...

Dungeon difficulty was a miss this time around. I was fully expecting to need to use CC / be careful for the first Tier worth of Heroic dungeons and instead people were just charging in crazy and ignoring mechanics from day 1. I think a couple groups had some deaths right there in that first...

People have spoken with their wallets. Multiplayer games tend to deliver content in 15-20 minute chunks. Even someone who sits playing Call of Duty for 4 straight hours does so by a series of short matches rather than a marathon slugfest. MOBAs similarly deliver their content in isolated...

So for the show they are gonna dump the Aegon storyline and merge Varys' support of him into Dany? Makes sense. I sometimes wonder if the show we are getting via HBO is what the novels themselves would have been like with a stronger editor?

I love my Fire Stick. After all the press the Fire Phone got and how really bleh it was and subsequently failed I see almost no one talking about the Fire Stick. I've had a couple glitches like having to reboot both phone and Stick in order to get the You Tube app to work, but found it to be...

Its comic book super science. I gave it a pass, although I think they should have just had her find the flaw in the original chip rather than go crazy with it.

Given how incredibly disposable most members of the League of Assassins are I really have to wonder 1) where is this vaunted training they keep talking about and 2) what sort of compensation package do they offer. Maybe next season they can do the H.I.V.E. or some other source of cannon fodder.

LiLi is fun. Just wish she wasn't LiLi...I guess it makes sense with Chen being in the game and all but she's moderately annoying

Yeah Nygma is really quite sympathetic so far. I almost feel sad that we probably will never get to see him go full on Riddler in the context of the show.

Im having enough challenge with cooperative. I dunno if I could handle fighting actual human beings. I regret having not touched the genre at all until now in some ways as I have zero appreciation for some of the nuances.

Ahhh I just saw an interview with Greg Berlanti where they mention that Hartley didn't kill anyone specifically because they wanted the room to have him take on the "reformed rogue" role that he did in the comics. I suppose if they link him to F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M. then they could have him as a...

Melissa McCarthy is really the only person I thought of for the Venkman-type role when they announced the estrogen-enhanced Ghostbusters reboot. She does have improv ability and has proven to be a box office draw with her comedies over the last few years while still cranking out a network sitcom.

Good job with Piper. Hartley has always been a rather more complex Rogue. I suspect we will be seeing a lot of him.

The prices of things like the Lunar Festival skins are just crazy. If they can convince people of the value they could easily rake in more $$ with this than with WoW thanks to the power of microtransactions. Wait. Is it fair to call them 'microtransactions' when they are $10?

So they are the rather plain four until the climax? That's what people really want out of a super hero movie... Angst and 2 hours of origin exposition.

What the hell was the point of the shards? I kept assuming that they would factor into the plotline in a major way and they never did... or if they did I totally missed it. My first thought was that separate from Power to unlock missions and such I would need X number of shards in order to...

I was pretty shocked when they did not add a new subclass with the DLC. Perhaps they are saving that for the Comet release? Just seems kinda crazy to include that functionality and then not take advantage of it. It is an easy solution to the desire to not reset people's gear. Instead reset...

Ahh well nuts then. I'll just wait until I can try him during a free week. I think I like Raynor because he is rather self-sufficient, but then again I've only been playing Cooperative.

I need to learn to love some character other than Raynor. How is Gazlowe? I gave him a whirl on the "Try" and he seemed kinda fun.

Blizzard is playing it smart with the mindfuckery of the daily quest system. Its amazing how well the daily quests don't align with the free heroes. "Hey do daily quests to earn gold and buy heroes and outfits! Today's daily quest is... oh I guess you need to buy a hero in order to do this...

I have a feeling we will see a lot more of Fish Mooney instead of a lot less. She's gotten quite a bit of mainstream press as a kooky personality of Gotham that isn't based on an existing character. It also opens up the possibility of having an Eartha Kitt style Catwoman characterization in a...

The Flash we have in this show is essentially Wally West with Barry Allen's backstory of being a police scientist. Barry Allen was killed off in 1985 and only relatively recently came back from the dead, so most of what people would consider modern super hero storytelling and characterization...

That was a nice touch. Obviously being gadget-based villains they will need a steady supply of such gadgets in order to keep going on. It will be interesting when one of the metahumans or other clearly super gadgety types shows up in Star City

Its basically a shaved roast beef sandwich on a kaiser roll that has been covered with caraway seeds and pretzel salt. Often is served with mayo, pickled peppers and sometimes cheese. Mostly its the accent of the caraway seeds + pretzel salt that gives it that distinctive character.

It is very possible, indeed probable, to completely fuck up a Polycom implementation however. A few years ago the company I worked for at the time decided they wanted to ride out the financial crisis by going for smart conference rooms all over and emphasize telepresence... I'm not exactly...

From living in Rochester for a number of years I can testify that Beef on Weck is an amazingly tasty sammich.

They finally put a price to it and it's going for $49.99. Seems a bit steep for a title with zero marketing or buzz. I'll wait for a Steam sale.

So looks like no immediate use of the Lazarus Pit...however it does seem to indicate some sort of mystical stuff went on since Ollie really did appear to be quite dead. Also I'm gonna guess Ras knows what he's doing when he kills a person. (Unless he was very much aware of the whole situation...

I watched it on the intrawebs and yes you absolutely need to watch the epilogue

They seem to use Gordon as both the POV character but also as the universal straight man to contrast against the broadly over-the-top collective crazy that populates the city.

The Rogues are assembling. The Flash has always had the best villains second only to Batman and they are doing a bang-up job casting them. Pied Piper is next week and it will be interesting to see if they ultimately make him more of a Rogue or take on aspects of his characterization in the...

I did notice that Stephen Colbert came back doing the voice of Professor Impossible

Even though the wait between seasons / episodes is pain incarnate, they always manage to come through with gold. Go Team Venture!!

Mechanical problems with the mechanism that moves the wings was just wrecking the Imperial maintenance budget. Remember Palpatine originally got elected on a platform of anti-corruption and fiscal responsibility.

That looks much more like a new Imperial Shuttle given the size, ramp, presence of royal guards, and the wings which look like the lambda shuttle wings but in a traditional Tie form.

There had better be a damn big payoff to the whole Barbara Keene storyline because the bitch is a waste of valuable screen time.
