Playing around a little as I test the addons I am making. Also the retail addon API is real clean and easy to work with. Much better than trying to lookup ancient 1.0 API docs from 2004 to work on the Turtle Client or similar. Warriors definitely have some improved rage decay it is not nearly...

They are deleting beta characters so name reservations don't really mean anything here. In less than a 2 hours of playing I have seen: Many variants of Biggus Dikus Bloody Tacos Richard Hungwell Lichemperor Chaoslord (such edgy) Heyhey Heygirl This using the retail API is great though so I can...

Mining nodes do not give Exp. The mac crashing error has to do with Secondary Lighting in some way. I also noticed a black bar of light whenever I used Earthshock. The retail UI is nice. I like that swing timers, layout changing, and other things are baked in now. But of all things why isn't...

The Mac issue has to do with the setting called Secondary Lighting. They'll fix it in time. Otherwise it runs well on macbook and I am pleased. Great beta!

You do...

@Ignatius I am also on a M4 macbook for this beta test. I have a 48GB ram model. I got to character creation and it went smooth. When I tried to load into the game it actually crashed the macbook requiring a hard restart. lol. If you don't use a mac let me tell you how rare that is for any...

He's not blue send him back to space.

The first one on their roadmap is Onyxia. The "reimagined iconic raid" next spring or whenever is probably a suped up Molten Core.

The retail AH in WoW works on a different basis than the Classic one. Originally each transaction was unique, which is why you remember pages of 1c whatever and expensive ones. If for example 100x Kingslood were listed at 1c and 80x Kingsblood were listed at 2c you can put in an order to buy...

I dont want flex raids here. There's a place for that. Also the AH will effectively work the same way the Path of Exile one does. It's much better.

Having a few 40 man clusterfucks will be good. I support these things. The majority will be 10-20 so they say.

I know, I think it is excellent that they worked on this. Fire/Frost Resistance the threat lowering one and others are raid wide. But Windfury isn't so you don't just need 1 shaman if you want all the melee rocking WF.

Like you want them all raid wide again? I think its good that group comp makes a difference.

Interestingly it seems that Shaman totems are not all raid wide. Resistance ones are but Windfury and buff ones are not. Same for Paladin.

At least it's actually different this time.

Guy says they'll be going after gold sellers big time. I'll believe it when I see it.

I am not seeing the option to play. I don't understand why the client is not working for me.

I have no interest in the beta other than seeing performance on the mac.

Not seeing that. It's just greyed out. I do not have an active sub if that is part of it? I thought gametime is included with it.

So when can you install this? I want to see how well it runs on my Macbook. I have bought the Epic version.

I wouldn't know. I have hair.

And yet I had to suffer people wiping to Vaelastrasz for days. Preacher has good takes. He has never participated in Classic servers because he played Vanilla from day one through Cataclysm and remembered it fondly. But didn't want to play it again. Forever is fresh enough that it feels a lot...

I'm probably going to play on Alliance RP.

Warriors are viable tanks don't be ridiculous.

You can use shield/1h. I have no intention of tanking on Shaman outside of 5man. Its just something nice to do to make leveling and grouping easier a bit. Flame Nova is a spell now rather than a totem and Earth Shock/Rockbiter produce a lot of threat. So you can create threat but have no hard...

I mained Shaman back in the day and while I loved playing Resto and the class in general the changes to Enhancement are absolutely badass. Enhancement is focused around 2H now with loads of talents to support a rapid Stormstrike playstyle. 8 second CD stormstrike increases you nature dmg and...

Do you have the ability to get HK residency easily through your parents or something at least? I am planning for my semi-retirement in the next decade out in Wyoming. Just looking for a property I really want.

Yeah I am pretty sure I want to play the RP rules... just can't decide the faction to play since there is so much new stuff. I am going to run the beta on my macbook to see how it runs though. Nice that it runs natively I guess.

Most of the people complaining are the minmax types who would just run Scarlet Monastery and Mage AOE blast everything. Their anger pleases me.

I will say it exactly one more time. If they did this then they wouldn't have been able to charge you and Chinese for it without significant backlash. As they would be stripping out existing races from retail and simply reselling them to you. Making them gay space elfs gets around this issue so...

The amount of unhinged rage about dungeon spam not being the most optimal leveling path is quite hilarious.

Dual spec yes, transmog is fully toggleable. You can just completely disable it and not see anyone mogged.

Consolidated list of observed changes from some streamer: They also claim that item stats and effects are obfuscated on the server side now. So any new item can't be directly datamined prior to it actually dropping in the game...

It's just a gay version of feather fall. @Noodleface I still see RP as appealing. They will likely be less strict than Turtle WoW as you have to be reported a lot for them to do anything. At bare minimum it keeps fags from being too faggy in game and they have to relegate true faggotry to Discord.

It is effectively a 22 year old game. My only RP reference was Turtle WoW where it was not strictly enforced. Other than you couldn't use gay meme or celebrity names. Only names that were gay enough to be in a DND game. Most people were able to play okay that I ever encountered there.

Definitely one boon about actual Bliz servers is that there are somewhat less disability scammers than there are on the private servers.

RP mode not PVE. As far as I can tell RP mode just makes sure nobody has faggot Legolaszzz1 names and such.

Well start deciding. Alliance or Horde RP rules. RP is no different that PvE, it just enforces fantasy names and what have you. Worked for Turtle.

Make super dark blue and boom you have gay space Drow!
