The Mac issue has to do with the setting called Secondary Lighting.

They'll fix it in time. Otherwise it runs well on macbook and I am pleased. Great beta!

Mining nodes do not give Exp. The mac crashing error has to do with Secondary Lighting in some way. I also noticed a black bar of light whenever I used Earthshock.

The retail UI is nice. I like that swing timers, layout changing, and other things are baked in now. But of all things why isn't TOOLTIP ANCHORED TO CURSOR baked in?

I didn't bother with the disconnect fest it was yesterday, just reserved a name.

How will this megaserver thing work with regionals? I saw a lot of spanish and russian chat and I wonder.

They are deleting beta characters so name reservations don't really mean anything here. In less than a 2 hours of playing I have seen:
  • Many variants of Biggus Dikus
  • Bloody Tacos
  • Richard Hungwell
  • Lichemperor Chaoslord (such edgy)
  • Heyhey Heygirl
This using the retail API is great though so I can make the addons that I want. Took me 5 minutes to make a simple tooltip addon to anchor it to the cursor. With all the stuff baked in now I won't need to make all that much to get it where I want to be.

Where do you disable world transmog in game btw? I want the enhanced models, I do not want to see transmogs. I did not see a menu item for it. I'm going to have some lol fun in this game and actually try and RP a little as I do love me some DND.

So far I am going for:
  1. Exiled Dark Iron Dwarf Shaman who thinks the Dark Irons are too simple minded. As all they do is worship Ragnaros and don't see that true power is not only in the anvil but in Alchemy and binding elementals to your will. Not swords and armor.
  2. Undead Priest who was a priest in life and remains steadfast in death. Seeing undeath as not a curse but yet another gift of the Light and goes on a quest to understand the Shadow magic he is now "blessed" with.
  3. Skyborne Warrior. Generic young lad with a thirst to leave his floating island and see the realms. Clumsy but strong willed.

Playing around a little as I test the addons I am making. Also the retail addon API is real clean and easy to work with. Much better than trying to lookup ancient 1.0 API docs from 2004 to work on the Turtle Client or similar.

Warriors definitely have some improved rage decay it is not nearly as punishing as it was in the original client. Health regen seems stronger in general? The buffs to cannibalize and especially the Skyborne Leyline buffs (+100% regen rates for 15 minutes if you find a Leyline). I suspect Leylines will be reasonably easy to find and it is good to keep you exploring as the buff is very nice for leveling. Its even nice without a leyline as it is more or less a full heal without needing to eat every 2 minutes.

Names arent reserved on here. The beta ends before name reservation starts.
