I think McVay tries a throw.

Yes, as long as everyone here is realizing PI is actual pass interference, and not including illegal contact or holding calls which are the 5 yard fouls that occur before the pass is thrown.

It's illegal contact that is allowed once QB is out of the pocket. But if pass is in the air towards the receiver it is then PI which is still a penalty.

With this little time left...not sure it matters now if you go for 1 or 2 on this one. You won't have enough time to make any decisions to save you extra time for a potential 3rd time getting the ball.

Every tackle here just bleeding more clock.

"without a big name running back"...eh. Carson has been known fantasy guy for a couple years now, and you drafted Penny in the 1st round.

Rams bleeding so much clock here. If they can get even a first down or 2 Dallas won't get the ball back.

Can we really call it the best rushing attack in the league after what the Rams are doing to the Dallas run D today?

Rams using their last timeout? Andy Reid'ing it up here a bit

Really curious if Dallas ends up scoring, will Garrett do the right thing and go for 2.

How crazy is it Anderson didn't have a job until as late in the season as the Rams picked him up?

Who was it that was pumping up the Cowboys' Run D so much?

Somehow, this is a one possession game

Chiefs not fucking around.

I'd kind of like to see the Chiefs win for their fans, but wouldn't mind Colts going through, either.

It's a little crazy to me that a community I found way back in '99 or 2000 to look up EQ accomplishments has led me to be really pumped to see a #GravyStrong sign at a Chiefs home playoff game. You're a good dude Regime, and the rest of you are all right, too.

No surprise Marchand wouldn't drop the gloves last night when he couldn't jump the guy first. 14 in a row against the Bruins, Holtby 16-2-0 all time against them.

@Lanx you realize she got hired on as first full time female official back in 2015 right? In recent news for her, she's going to be the first female official to do a playoff game (Pats/Chargers) this weekend.

All TV was losing for the last couple years, really. NFL was actually losing a lesser % of their total than other stuff as well. I'm sure the offensive explosion at times this year and so many good prime time games helped as well (forget who mentioned it earlier, but definitely seemed like the...

Philly's gap between the 2 rankings was pretty damn huge. I'm assuming their red zone D must have been pretty good. Tampa's scoring D being worse not a surprise, I'm sure Fitztragic/Winston turnovers probably contributed.

That's a really odd stat that the Colts game was only game he didn't have a rushing attempt. I know they went for it on 4th down a few times in that game, maybe a designed roll out that gave him the option to run would have helped.

Are you going by their yards/game ranks or scoring ranks? Titans were 3rd overall and it was Cooper's first game with the team. Philly was ranked 12th in scoring D and they played them twice in that stretch. Redskins 15h in scoring D, Atlanta 25th. Tampa's scoring was actually worse because...

Their offense post Cooper trade was better. Aside from Colts shutting them out, they averaged 25 points a game in their other 8 games after the trade for Amari. That would have been good for 11th or 12th in scoring. They were on a roll prior to that game.

They were simply a hard offense to completely hold down with Zeke and Cooper at that point in the season. That loss broke their 5 game winning streak during which they were averaging close to 25 points a game. It was an impressive defensive performance. Much like I think holding the Texans...

Cowboys vs. Colts - Game Summary - December 16, 2018 - ESPN I'm not sure, what am I talking about? Maybe the only game/team to hold the Cowboys below 10 points since week 1 (in a shutout no less). Check yourself Hoss, I know you're wrong a lot, but shit man.

Need to get you karabor ports for Outland and Draenor.

I have quite a few friends, Ravens fans mostly, who love to preach about how they have quit watching the NFL. Few of them were straight up die hards previously. To each their own.

A lot of the Colts' number has been boosted by some very strong defensive efforts in the 2nd half of the season against some decent offenses, though. Like shutting out the Cowboys, and holding the Texans to 7 points in Houston last week. Also Pats SoS might have been poor overall, but they did...

3 of those had a top 10 scoring D, as well. Pats 7th, Chargers 8th, Colts 10th.

Agreed ratings mostly up for increased offense and host of great prime time games this year. Monday nights being subpar has been a thing for a few years now, at least in regards to Sunday Night, since Sunday gets the flex option to replace games with good ones later in the season. I'm sure...

The games went on as usual. Some people choose to let themselves get distracted by whichever things bother their side of whichever discussion. But in general league continues to push more and more offense, which if you judge ratings this year, worked I guess.

Seahawks should have ran Penny more.

Agree mostly with this...if only because it isn't JUST where they spend 4 months out of the year the last couple of years. Many of the historically good cold weather QB's didn't just have experience with it in the NFL, but also high school and/or college. As always, it'll vary guy by guy, but...

Technically New Orleans has a better run defense than Dallas does @Springbok

I argued the whole game being disappointing wasn't anything we hadn't already seen before, but this expansion seems to be hitting a new low for many long time players. Granted, I had long ago stopped being a permanent WoW player b/c I don't do those weekly mount/achievement bs runs. Sure I'd...

I'm not sure if it will be for Rivers...but there are definitely some QB's/teams that play worse in cold weather. Now granted, 30's and not much wind or rain/snow is a lot different than around 0 with wind and snow or some shit, but I'd be some dome teams/QB's have more trouble in it.

That's a good point. Isn't the overall record for West coast teams going east for 1pm EST games really shitty?

This shit is fucking cool.

As with all tits series, you'll get a lot early on, and they'll show up less and less as it goes.

The only real weather factor for the Chargers will be it should be around ~30 degrees for the game. Chargers are 8-1 on the road so far this year, so not like just being away from "home" will affect them. Be curious to see how Melvin Gordon is doing with both of his knees being an issue...
