Vintage Ovechkin. Good game though, took way too many penalties to let Pens sorta be back in it. Metro is rough.

Would totally take Wade in DC, but I think there are other candidates we're looking at.

I like Jordy Nelson a lot, but I have to shake my head at the idea that Nelson/Driver/Jennings are in any way shape or form on the level that Moss and Gronk were at their positions/roles. Could even throw Welker's name in there as best slot receiver for a couple of years (Pats system and Brady...

And you have your opinion an it's fine. Big Ben gets sacked a lot more when he looks to extend plays as well, but they also get monster gains out of it just as often if not more so. Brady in some ways is chained to that system of getting the ball out quick, and doesn't get enough credit for...

Wilson doesn't have quite as much arm strength as Rodgers does in order to make some of the throws into tight windows that Rodgers does. Also, Wilson will escape the pocket much more with his scrambling...while Rodgers is constantly adjusting himself inside of it. Reminds me of Bell's patient...

When he's at his peak? I'm sorry, as good as Brady is (and what makes him better all time currently is his consistency...and not having MM as his head coach), he cannot do all of the things Rodgers can do. Scrambling, throwing on the run, hell simply buying time in the pocket. Yeah, it leads...

I never really saw Dallas "limit" big plays against them. I saw our QB miss a lot of wide open receivers against your secondary. I agree that their passing stats will be skewed a bit since teams obviously were forced to pass against them a lot, but it's not faulty to note that your secondary...

Have to be honest, coming from a Cowboy fan on this board, this statement is ironic as fuck this year. I can bet it's annoying as fuck having to play them this week to keep hearing about it, but as a neutral fan watching how he's played down the stretch, it's been impressive as hell. You just...

Can't see anyone getting excited over Moore. But it is the NFL, and he is a QB.

If it helps, I think Pats are going to win it all. Packers/Falcons, Pats/Steelers title games.

Caps keep rolling. Holtby's shutout streak ended up getting stopped around 165 minutes, Ovechkin with 3 points is now sitting on 999 for his career with the Pens coming to town Wed night. His goal tonight in Montreal also tied him with Richard all time.

Easy way to tell if Giants are winning the Super Bowl...if they win a game in the playoffs, it's all over. Otherwise you'll read about how Manning's passer rating was great to these 2 guys, while everyone else thinks about his two turnovers and countless gifs of the Manning face.

Sad thing was they were moving the ball a bit through the air. Landry hauled in a few big 3rd down completions. But 2 strip sacks (and the one before half hurt a ton, especially with Miami getting the ball after half) and a pick on 3 consecutive possessions killed all hope. That and being...

Keep telling everyone. There's SB Eli...and then never won a playoff game in any of his other postseasons Eli. That team wasn't winning shit not being able to score 20 points. AFC shaping up exactly as expected. Still think only Pats and Steelers have real chance. We've seen what Pitt's O...

Shit is still impressive as fuck. Banked a lot of points too. Obviously you worry about a let down after it has ended but if they get back on track relatively quickly, they can be an average team the rest of the way and make the playoffs. Kudos to the Jackets for quite a ride.

Shakeup in Denver will be interesting to watch. Yeah that was the same tidbit I read, have to see where the chips fall there...but I can dream.

The timing of this discussion will never match that of the original one.

Rumors are Wade Phillips might even be in play. I would love this.

Dominant defense because they were 4th in total yards/game and 4th in points/game allowed. I don't know where we draw the line for "dominant", but top 5 overall seems in the ballpark. This with their offense doing next to nothing half the time. If they got any support they'd be crazy. Also...

So much for that Columbus streak. Caps finally getting some production from up and down the lineup.

Denver I could see doing it. Although Kubiak's retirement might throw a wrench into the deal. Elway has to know that defense is still dominant but the clock is counting down. Roll the dice and trade for Romo to hope he can win 1 Super Bowl with their D? Sure you gut the future a bit...but...

Well...it wasn't the Dallas' D that won those games. Cousins missing wide open guys in Week 2 where literally if he even looks in their direction we score 40, or Thanksgiving when we piled up over 500 yards of offense. I guess you can point to holding us to field goals and such in the 1st...

Just don't like the way they match up with the Pats. Also the Steelers absolutely raped them earlier in the year (although it was EARLY in the year, so grain of salt, but still). Obviously I like them against any of the other 3 AFC teams, but they're extremely likely in my eyes to get...

Should have caught up on the thread before posting about the Baalke story. I think Kelly would have done a lot better had they had him, not enough to make any real noise but they wouldn't be fired I'd bet.

That is brutal. Did you guys see the story about how Kelly and others in 49ers front office wanted to draft Dak? But Baalke went against that plan. Wonder how Kelly's season would have turned out had they listened.

Please quote me saying we could go all the way. I'll wait. Don't be a retard. At best I thought we could win a game or two. Atlanta would have killed us, Seattle (at least not the random retarded Seattle that showed up a couple times this year) would have been a not so great match up as...

Cousins better realize it matters a lot in the big moments and big games how much you're worth. Not that most of the team was any better today, but Cousins was pretty poor all day not reading blitzes, and just making bad throws. Final pick was terrible. He had room to step up and run for 5-10...

I think Caldwell should definitely stay. Agree with Moon that Jim Bob Cooter (yes, you have to type/say the full name every time it never gets old) deserves a lot of credit, but it's a team that is still overachieving in most people's eyes. Literally almost doing it with smoke and mirrors...

This is when he needs to trust Dez when he gets the man to man on the outside and take some shots.

Ryan's play will be a large factor (maybe the only large factor) in what Atlanta ends up doing...but that team with the 2 seed is set up to be a real sleeper team. I'll be happy as fuck if they win on Sunday so if the Skins get in we would avoid them in a 3/6 match up. Worst possible opponent...

This isn't a bad point. But even most of these guys have a lot less playoff experience than the Seahawks or the Pats. Hell, Dak/Zeke could be helped by NOT knowing. Historically it's just tough to go right in as a rookie and expect tons of success.

Another weirdness, GB/Detroit could just kneel on the ball for 5 quarters and both get in, but there's still a scenario out there where Detroit can get the #2 seed I believe and the bye that comes with it. Of course, being the night game, they would know what seeding they would get with a win...

No one is discounting it Moon. You get your undies in a bunch if someone says anything other than Dallas is the proclaimed favorite going in. They are one of the favorites, but not some lock solid you can pen them in. You don't buy experience, and overlook KC...not realizing that the ONLY...

he did make the nice sidearm delivery in the 1st half on a 3rd down that led to an eventual TD. Still...2nd and 31 isn't the time to start fucking around.

Gruden mentioned it so he could have something to talk about. It wasn't any new look that made Stafford have a stroke and decide that throwing back across his body while scrambling to his left on 2nd and 31 was a good idea. No idea why they abandoned the run so hard either. Aside from their...

Agree with this. We do have the cap space, although I'm sure we'd like to use as little of it as possible for other contracts that come up this year (Baker, Garcon, Jackson) and next (Breeland, etc). But we don't have another option. Already read a few times that if we don't work out a long...

#1, I wrote that before the win last night. As far as being reasonable...their previous 3 games (Minnesota, Giants, Tampa) were not all that impressive. They squeaked out the win against the Vikings, got held down by the Giants, and blew a 2 score lead against Tampa before managing to get the...

This would never happen. Lions haven't won a game outdoors all year, but they're going to give up home field and division crown to the Packers? I think not.

Kinda strange to have had everything go the Skins way this week after laying that egg last Monday night. They better come out and play well against the Giants, whether NY plays their starters or not. I'd really like to go into the Sunday night game next week just having to hope for no tie.

Fuck you Burnem. Detroit wants to win the division not just sneak in as a wild card. But they can play for real next week, they can lose this week.
