That's me.. I would have even taken another hit against gameplay if it would feel more epic. I'm going into this like I do with the Transformers Movies. I just want to see lots of mindless explosions to epic proportions and could care less about anything else but from what i've seen I feel...

In regards to RDJ and the conclusion of the IM series, I'm happy with that... I don't think it could get any better as I understand it would still make a ton of money but let it be what it is... They can bring it back 10 or 20 years from now and take the story a different direction. I really...

I don't know if directors get "overrated" as they are hired to deliver a product to make money. I think others touched on a lot of valid points. Bay isn't overrated, he's hired to make movies with lots of explosions and large scale action. He may produce some terrible movies buy they are...

There's a simple way to deal with this ignorance. Just make Killian a copy cat. Set it up to where Killian either encountered The Mandarin earlier, Mandarin refuse to work with him, Killian throw a spoiled rich-boy fit, and create the Mandarin OR have him hear of him while looking for "a face...

This. Extremis was spot on. Outside of a few logistics and being picky it was done really well. I'm with everyone else though, I don't get the Mandarin angle at all. You had a great actor and look. He appeared to capture the role really well. I think you could have completely used Killian...

I don't understand why they get the heroes nearly "spot on" even stepping over believable lines of power yet, they are scared to approach those lines with villains? You look at every super hero movie, Marvel and DC, and it's seems they are so scared to give villains their iconic powers yet the...

hahahahahahahahahahaha..... beautiful. Well played.

I'm down as well. Really interested to see how they handle the crossover to mobile devices. Really wondering how they handle controls and PvP'ing on mobile devices.

I don't think he's fooling anyone. If he really believes that people are going to think these discussions are the second coming he's either egotistical, short-sighted, or both. I think Mark Jacobs has to earn everything just as much as Brad, SoE, and anyone else that has made empty promises...

I don't know... I think EQ had it right honestly. I think your corpse lying there loaded with gear and receiving exp loss pretty well forced me into making sure I played well and I surrounded myself with good players. I don't see what the problem is either when you had rez's worth 98% of your...

I thought about this a bit more and I think the key is to not introduce conveniences too early in the game. I think that even certain utilities could be offered as guild perks. Such as LFG/LFD/LFR could be something tied to your guild or personal prestige. I had a thought today that what if...

Yeah but it's more effective and even at times more rewarding due to that effectiveness. Thus the masses take that route because you get outpaced otherwise. My point is why reward this "option" if it is simply an alternative? If you don't fit with the scheme of the game why should I be...

I agree with your comment on poor design but I don't think that this is simply exclusive to WoW (though i'm sure this is only your example to validate your point) but if you think about it, sitting in a single zone (city) and just "queuing up" is pretty much the experience. I can group, pvp...

Hobart still working on EQMac? I wonder how much freedom he has to work, correct, and further development? As a newbie, the drop rate on newbie armor is screwed up. I'm sure that's pretty low priority due to most of the server being at the top and you can power level through things. Also...

A lot of you touched on some of my thoughts (causes) to contribute to some of the differentiations I have noticed... First - Instances... I think instances have taken some of the playerbase and "hidden" them away. To take it a step further, when they added cross-server LFG/LFD/LFR to...

First let me preface this with saying this is strictly a comment and inquiry in terms of design. I, in know way, intend this to be a "remember when" EQ post or to bring back the glory days but I would really like to know why or even how? So please, do not look to much into this.... I have...

I must have solid PvP information (if any) before I invest any time into this game. I really haven't even read much about it as some people didn't share great reviews with me. Nothing bad but nothing great.

$10 says the FV figures were taken out of unsold PoP boxes.

THANK GOD!!! One of my favorite Marvel characters and I feel that world deserves to be done right. I feel that Daredevil could be better even than the Dark Knight movies (in terms of story.)

Ah... just noticed. I'm still learning the EQMac community a bit.

Anyone have guild recommendations? I'm moving relatively slow. I'll be lucky to be 20 this week. Would love to eventually raid but still enjoying just taking it slow. I'm a necro if that helps any...

Come join us on EQMac. A lot of people starting up. See groups going in Kurns and PC all the time. Seems most are coming over due to similar frustrations with EMU servers.

Wow! Grats. That's a pretty awesome accomplishment. Cannot wait to get to raid level. Thanks Prod again for the earrings and buffs!

The only thing that frustrates me is the fact as more EMU's pop-up the more the "classic" population segregates. You have hundreds (i'm assuming) on P99, Sleeper, soon to be EQClassic, and then however many on EQMac. I used to like the idea of the EMU servers because I thought that the idea...

Many thanks! Appreciate it. I'm typically one late EST as well. Work, Family time, etc. pushes me to the 8-9pm each night. Been a recent influx of new toons, from what i've heard a lot of people have all of sudden become frustrated with some emu servers. See ya in game.

Anyone know if this workaround is still good? http://newagesoldier.com/everquest-mac-pc/

Yup

I'm sure there are several EMU's are good and with all due respect to their work.... EQMac far exceeds any of my expectations. There is very little lower level population, which may be a problem, but the community is very helpful. If you have a buddy to grind through the early levels, it's a...

Game really felt like a MMO to me... maybe it was the pace and the type of quests you do early on that gave that feel. I use "feel" loosely due to the fact that an MMO feel would refer to prior to anything in the last 3-5 years. The graphics are stunning. Maybe the best i've seen to date...

This Patch Maintenance is killing me.... >Anyone else getting this...? Would love to patch before tomorrow!

Rumor is more invites went out today. Check your email and Spam folders! Maybe you'll get lucky!

I'll look you up. Would primarily like a little help to 20 or if anything just a few items. Love going through the Karana's, Unrest, LGuk, etc. Muligano - Main Necro Muligan - SK alt

I have to brag on this server as I picked it back up again. Guild Wars 2 bored me to death. I've played everything else with just no luck. Just wanted to run around some classic EQ out of some spare time opportunity and it really is a solid experience. I logged on and gave away a bunch a...

So Dad came over to see the kids and I began filling him in on some of the talks and he brought up an interesting point. Was it ever an intent for classes to provide services and receive perks for having those abilities or did this unexpectedly develop. Meaning, binds for an example... If you...

I actually hope it's after summer. Too busy during the summer and a little polish won't hurt the game regardless. Here's hoping for a key. I can't remember a game that I haven't been in a beta but there's still several to go. Realize there's a NDA in place so I hope everyone is enjoying it...

So I noticed Smedley was tweeting about the EQ Next reveal meeting. Wonder how that went...

Yeah.... i really would like a key but I would settle for a release date. It's looking June-ish though.

So... is the expansion and 2.0 the same thing or something different. I received an email that made them out to be two very different things (which is possible since I haven't kept up with the story) but anyway, are either of the updates going to make the game any better? Especially in regards...

I was just saying that from a design perspective, with their current reward system, it is most effective to have smaller dungeons with less content because you are trying to achieve a currency to get armor. It is a better pay out, to take a daily quest and then any other quest that may have to...

I have no idea if any in the industry or some SoE even reads this former (seriously, not that it would even matter) but, I really thought about something today while reading the forums. Please toss the system to where you go to X dungeon(s), run it as quickly as possible, X amount of times...
