They don't keep flashing the old logo because they're lazy or because of some editing oversight. They're saying, "Hey look, we're depicting two time periods here. We want you to look very closely and figure this shit out."

    Doctor Strange (2016)

I think an origin story like his would be better served by a television series. It was really hard for me to accept that he went from a narcissistic neurosurgeon to selfless, time-manipulating wizard over the course of 90 minutes.

    Westworld

What do you guys make of the changing logo or the fact that Lawrence and William are absent from the shot following their meet in the caboose? These things are not done by accident.

    Westworld

Nothing is being presented in a straightforward manner so that naturally gives rise to speculation. Do you guys really blame people for coming up with these theories when we're seeing all kinds of editing tricks. Even if William isn't mib we are undoubtedly seeing two time periods play out at...

    Westworld

This is all done to create a more seamless connection between timelines and maintain some ambiguity. They wanna make it harder for the viewers to distinguish between past and present events. That's why the lady says "I don't know" when Stubbs asks if Dolores is with a guest.

DC Universe (Batman vs Superman thread).

The director of The Flash left the project due to creative differences.

The way some of these scenes are shot and the vestiges of Dolores suggest that she's retracing the journey she took with William. That doesn't necessarily mean that these events take place 30 years prior or that William is the MiB but it's clear they've been conflating the two timelines for the...

    Westworld

People have referenced El Lazo's hair as evidence of a dual-timeline story, but it seems to change from scene to scene with the MiB as well. One moment it's longer and darker and the next it's short and gray.

After seeing William wield the same knife in the preview for the next episode, I definitely think he's the MiB. However, I think that's taking liberties with the show's own logic. Didn't they establish that androids didn't behave quite so naturally 30 years ago?

sorry, this is what I was referring to.

    Westworld

Is it just me or did Dolores' eye twitch during one scene? This could be a hint that this version is one of Old Bill's contemporaries and another clue that William is the MiB. Then again, the androids interacting with William and Logan seem far too sophisticated to suggest that this is the...

    The Walking Dead

Have they always filmed uncensored scenes for later release on Blu Ray? Kind of surreal to hear Negan's expletive-laden tirade.

    Nintendo Switch (previously NX)

The fundamental issue with the Wii U is the meager game library. We can talk about hardware all day long, but simply put: your console's gonna be reduced to a coaster if you can't offer anything beyond the usual kiddy fare like Mario Kart. Forget third-party titles. Those are meaningless in the...

Show is oddly engaging despise the fact that they don't really seem to be advancing their careers.

    The Walking Dead

God damn, Negan sucks. I would beg for Lucille if I had to listen to those diatribes every day. And Glenn's death packed zero emotional punch because the writers had the bright idea to let everyone speculate for months instead of just giving us a dramatically effective finale.

    Civilization VI

I somehow managed to secure a science victory with zero conflicts when I had maybe 4 military units on the map. I was surrounded by 3 warring nations with fully developed militaries and the only threats I got were the constant denouncements from Egypt.

Jesus. They still haven't found a way to speed up AI moves.

Love Nintendo, but do they really think a 6-year-old game like Skyrim is going to whet people's appetite?

I was on board with the "William is the Man in Black" theory until I saw a candid interview that Jimmi Simpson (William) did before the premiere. He described his role and talked about how the park changes people and allows them to discover who they truly are. He said there was nothing ominous...

    The Flash

Someone may have said something similar, but all of this time travel/alternate timeline shit is so inconsequential. Kill everyone and start over with a new cast next season.

    Mafia 3

The story initially piqued my interest, but after reading some of these reviews, I have no intention of playing this garbage. EVERY SINGLE MISSION involves the same approach and the same interrogation/killing animations. Thinking about how lazy this industry has become makes my blood boil.

    Suicide Squad (2016)

This movie was so much fucking worse than I expected. There was zero character development and the little vignettes at the beginning didn't help matters. For the life of me, I can't understand what purpose Joker served. Seems like he was shoehorned into random scenes for fan service.
  23. S

    Westworld

My theory is that he's terminally ill and wants to transfer his consciousness to a host. I also think William is the Man in Black and the scenes depicting his love affair with Dolores are just flashbacks that reveal the beginning of his obsession with the park.

    Marvel's Luke Cage

I thought it was just ok but it could have used more action to prop up the lackluster drama. These shows are definitely feeling less Marvel with each installment. Also, I find it kind of strange that they won't release R-rated material on Netflix of all places.

    Witcher 3

Recently fired this back up to check out the expansions. I must say they're better than most core games. And bout 10 hours into Hearts of Stone, I realized that I never even beat the main campaign. My only complaint is that it feels pretty lonely without your friends and none of your choices...

    Westworld

Like others have said, I really hope they don't go the "Man in Black is really an android seeking revenge against his makers" route. Older models weren't as sophisticated and didn't have the capacity to develop self-awareness, so we probably don't have to worry about that coming true.

I wouldn't read too much into this. He's likely just using it as inspiration for the next update.

I'm most curious about Teddy. Like most people, I thought he was a human at the beginning. I know they're not supposed to harm the visitors, but are they supposed to even fire at the them? He seemed shocked that the bullets didn't affect Ed Harris.

So glad they decided to ignore conventional ratings and renew this.

    No Man's Sky

Even if the game included all the content that was promised, the pre-release footage I saw looked like the most mundane, repetitive garbage ever. I seem to recall that most people had similar sentiments about the fun being short-lived. Also, the first thing he said about multiplayer was that...

I can't believe anyone is surprised that this game sucks. Even worse is the legion of idiots zealously defending this crap.
