Their cash shop is a mess as well. I attempted to buy some Gold, to purchase 30 day founder, and try my hand at crafting. Didn't work at all, kept crashing.
I think the best part of ultima online, was that the game was fun right out the gate.
So many next gen MMO's develop the games so "fun" begins at end game. Why can't a game be fun and challenging out the gate? Grinding quests that no one gives a shit about is not fun.
So quest grinding is getting incredibly boring and i'm only level 15. The trade/pvp aspect is what intrigues me the most, is it possible to hit level 50 solely through crafting and tradeskills?
Playing Final Fantasy 3 and 7 for the first time.
Discovering Ogre Battle.
Mario Kart
Golden Eye
Playing Battlefield 1942 at an internet cafe with my brother for the first time
Ultima Online Abyss Server, also looting peoples houses/corpses and escaping.
The Realm, scamming a rare spell book worth 200 million gold
Everquest, opening screen music, the game just felt so fucking epic.
The best part of of the old PlayStation was the backwards compatibility. Now I sit here with a 400 system, with little to no game selection, or I can rent a shit selection of games for a lot of money.
Thanks for the info, I've always wanted to get into Fantasy or 40k but the $$ and time has always been the biggest factor. I have plenty of both but GW doesn't seem like the best company.
